(I posted this on my personal page yesterday and decided to share it here as well)

I have been reflecting today about what I want for my daughters (and my son) as we celebrate International Women’s Day…

I want them to live in a world of mutual respect, consideration and kindness; where they have autonomy over their bodies, access to universal healthcare, and fair access to all the opportunities this beautiful world has to offer. 💪🏻

I want them to know peace and joy no matter where life takes them.🌟

I want to leave them a clean and thriving planet that is rich in biodiversity and stewards of the land. 🌳

I want them to feel a true sense of belonging. 🫂

I want them to see accountability in action but to also know that no one is irredeemable if one takes responsibility for their actions. 🙌🏻

I want them to know that they are loved always and are deserving of that love no matter what. 💞

I wish the same for you, too. 💐

Here is to strong women and tender men. May we know them, may we raise them, may we be them. 🩷💚💛

I had the pleasure of seeing the Thrive Tour with in Nottingham last night! So much wisdom and support and inspiration. 🌟

I really like his meaning of a person who thrives - “someone who understands and owns their own internal responses, intimately knows what they stand for, and lives each day in harmony with the person they know themselves to be.” 💚

I even got picked to share in response to one of his exercise prompts. Dr. Rangan, I am pleased to share that I completed my first 5 minute action of singing and dancing to a song this morning in my kitchen! (I picked Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club.) 🎤

Thank you for your time and knowledge and compassion. It was a treat to see you in person after all these years of listening to your wonderful podcast Feel Better Live More. I can’t wait to read your new book. 🙌🏻

I know many don’t care for Valentine’s Day. But I for one welcome any reminder to love on my people. And it feels especially important considering how many people are being treated so poorly by leaders who are meant to protect and defend us.

I hope today and every day you feel loved just as you are and I hope you can love yourself that way, too.

I might be bonkers, but I’m also excited to get back into swimming regularly. I have just committed to swimming the length of Lake Coniston in the Lake District - all 5.25 miles of it end to end!

I will be training over the next 6 months with the aim of raising a minimum of £525 for the charity, to help make it possible for children with disabilities to get the chance to learn to swim in a safe and supportive environment.

I would love your support over these coming months of training, either through donations or words of encouragement. Will you help this gal out?
