To celebrate Mother's Day we want to tell you about the tiny Mother and Daughter team behind nurse by Nature!
Ellie is busy helping clients and blending aromatic potions while Grace (aka the social media elf) takes care of all the social media.
Thursday afternoon business meetings usually involve a huge sandwich, a selection of cakes and several mugs of Yorkshire tea while we plan the next few weeks ahead. We absolutely love spending time creating new blends, new graphics and generally getting creative (and silly) together.
It's more like play time than work time and for that we are both so grateful to get along so well.

Nurse by Nature is based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Nurse by Nature is a clinical aromatherapy service offering personalised aromatherapy massage and bespoke natural products based on a holistic assessment of health. With a focus on wellbeing and womenās health the business was founded in October 2019 by Ellie Borrill.
Ellie has developed skills that combine 30 years of nursing know how with the natural beauty and therapeutic properties of essential oils. This allows her to provide a holistic assessment and a personalised plan of care to promote health and wellbeing. High quality, responsibly sourced, cruelty free, vegan products are used that nourish mind and body and are kind to the earth.
Every woman is on a hormonal journey from adolescence to adulthood, menopause and beyond. It is reported that 1 in 10 women suffer with the painful symptoms of endometriosis and many women experience unwanted symptoms during the peri-menopause. 1 in 4 people are likely to experience mental health problems at some point during their lives. More women are seeking to take control and manage symptoms in a way that is natural, kind to the earth and that complements modern medical approaches. With the right knowledge, care and support women can be empowered to live healthy, fulfilling lives and achieve balance with the demands of modern life.
Ellie is a clinical aromatherapist and registered nurse, she has a degree in community nursing. She has worked in a variety of NHS and private settings including community nursing, mainstream and special school nursing, sexual and reproductive health services, sexual assault referral centres and more recently in an NHS clinical commissioning group. Ellie has a post graduate certificate in practice teaching, additional qualifications in health promotion and qualified as an aromatherapist in 2012. Having combined a love of nursing with a passion for essential oils Ellie has launched Nurse by Nature.
Having a diploma in Aromatherapy Techniques allows her to use her knowledge to blend essential oils with a choice of carrier oils to create beautiful bespoke treatments. She is able to advise clients regarding the therapeutic qualities and benefits of essential oils and how to safely dilute and introduce them into the body. This maybe by creating a bespoke essential oil product such as a body oil, moisture cream or gel for you to use at home or combining a body oil and massage treatment.
Through lived experience of endometriosis and the peri-menopause, Ellie has developed a special interest in womenās health and the hormonal issues that can impact on everyday life. Having undertaken many hours of personal study and attended specialist training, Ellie understands how essential oils can be used to support womenās hormonal and emotional health and wellbeing.
The Nurse by Nature clinic is in Cherry Burton near Beverley. Home visits in Beverley, Hull and surrounding areas can also be provided in the comfort of your own home. Nurse by nature aspires to provide a personalised, high quality, safe complementary therapy service that is underpinned by up to date research and evidence. The aim, to improve health and wellbeing by accurate assessment of need, creating personalised essential oil blends and therapeutic massage interventions.
Ellie will do this by undertaking a holistic health assessment, agreeing treatment goals and formulating a plan of care. She will work in partnership with you, and treat you equally with the dignity and respect you deserve.
