I spent 20+ years thinking I needed more discipline 😳
The cycle:
Monday: “This is my week 💪”
Friday: “One glass won’t hurt 🍷”
Saturday: “I’ve earnt this 🍔🍟🍕🍫”
Sunday: Guilt. “Fresh start Monday 😶🌫️.”
Rinse & repeat for 20+ years 🫠.
I thought I was the problem, not disciplined enough, not strong enough…I was wrong.
The problem was NEVER willpower, It was the ALL or NOTHING mindset.
What I wish I’d known:
1️⃣ One bad meal doesn’t cancel 3 good days - just eat your next normal meal.
2️⃣ 80% consistently beats 100% Mon-Thu then chaos Fri-Sun.
3️⃣ Weekends COUNT - they’re not a gap between ‘diets’.
4️⃣ Progress doesn’t need to be pretty - 50% weeks still count.
The moment I ditched “all or nothing” for “something is better than nothing …Everything changed.
If this is you right now - you don’t need more discipline. You need a different approach.
