Poured a wine last night and stopped …Am I slipping back into old habits 😱.

Gave my head a wobble and realised I absolutely wasn’t.

Old me:
🍷 Bottle every Thursday, Thirsty Thursdays.
🍷 Bottle every Saturday, without fail.
🍷 Poured to release, to cope, to switch off.

Last night:
🍷 A glass because fancied it (and worked into my calories 🤩)
That’s the difference.

I used to rely on wine to release, now I have other outlets. Training, walking, journaling, rest.

When you heal your inner triggers, you no longer need food or alcohol to do it for you.

Now wine is just wine, a refreshing glass. Nothing more.
That’s the shift, that’s the freedom.

8pm, pj’s on, eating homemade apple crumble …and still on track.

“Don’t eat after 7pm or you’ll gain weight.”
Myth - Your body doesn’t own a watch.

You have 24 hours in a day to spread your intake. It’s not WHEN you eat, it’s WHAT and HOW MUCH.

Eating right before bed, probably not ideal for sleep and digestion. But an evening snack at 8pm is totally fine.

If it fits your calories and you’re not eating a whole cake at midnight every night - it’s all good.

Stop letting made up rules control your life.

14 syns 👿- Sounds like a disaster in the weight loss world right?

Now let me show you the same meal in calories.

🍽️ Reduced fat sausages, homemade chips, bread & butter, ketchup.

SYNS: 😈
2 sausages - 3 syns
150g homemade chips - 2 syns (for the olive oil)
20g ketchup - 1.5 syns
Bread & butter - 7.5 syns
Total: 14 syns 😬🙈

CALORIES:📊
2 sausages - 99kcal
150g homemade chips - 177kcal
20g ketchup - 25kcal
Bread & butter - 153kcal
Total: 453kcal + 18g protein ✅

Same meal, very different story…
The word SYN makes you feel like you’re doing something wrong - Guilty, like a failure.

This used to frazzle my mind, high suns made me restrict foods I could have easily enjoyed. Not an everyday meal I’d choose, but absolutely fine in moderation.

Syns create good vs bad food mentality, calories just give you facts.

I’d rather say 453 calories and 18g protein than feel like I’ve committed the crime of the century 🦹‍♀️🫆.

Plot twist: You can do both.

You don’t have to choose health OR happiness.

The goal is a life where:

I used to be the ultimate party girl 🥂💃.

Not the surface level party girl you see today,I mean Thurs-Sun every weekend. I didn’t know what staying in looked like, Couldn’t remember getting home. Spoke to people I wouldn’t remember the next day - then repeat.

£300-400 a month on going out, new outfits, rounds of drinks, shots 🥃.…No one batted an eyelid.

Then I found the weights 🏋️‍♀️, something shifted.
I no longer needed wine to release. The weights gave me something different, something better.

I fell out of love with my old life, and in love with my new one.

Gym membership active, invested in a coach, started studying nutrition, wanted to build a business.

All of a sudden people asked… “How do you afford that.”
The reality is it costs me LESS than my old life did and I gain so much more.

We invest in what’s a priority ‼️.

Your health and your wellbeing is the best investment you’ll ever make ❤️‍🩹.

And it’s absolutely priceless 🙏.

Celebrating 12 months of Emma 🫶🎊.

10 inches gone, but that’s not even the best part.
When Em came to me she was already putting in the work with at .sheduk.

Training hard, but hitting a plateau… Results had stalled.
Rich pointed her my way for some additional nutrition support 🙏.

What Em thought she was getting:

We went deeper…way deeper.
