We're Hiring: Senior Support Worker – St. Anthony’s Care Home

We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at St. Anthony’s Residential Home.

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll lead and motivate a team, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll oversee daily operations, support independence and well-being, and help maintain compliance with CQC standards.

What You’ll Do:
✅ Lead, supervise, and support a team of care staff
✅ Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and medication management
✅ Ensure person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
✅ Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
✅ Support training, mentoring, and staff development

What We’re Looking For:
✨ NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
✨ Leadership or supervisory experience in a care setting
✨ Compassionate, organised, and proactive approach
✨ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
✨ Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call duties

🍁 Autumn Blessings at St. Anthony’s 🍂

Our residents have been embracing the season with creativity and gratitude — writing what they’re thankful for on paper leaves to build our “Tree of Gratitude”, painting with real autumn leaves, and even carving pumpkins! 🎃

We also kept spirits high with our lively Wake Up Shake Up session — music, movement, and lots of smiles all around! 💛

Caribbean Carnival Day at St Anthony’s 🎉🌴

We had a wonderful time celebrating Caribbean Carnival Day here at St Anthony’s Residential Home! The atmosphere was filled with colour, joy and community spirit as residents, visitors and staff joined together for the festivities.

A big thank you to the talented catering team from Ardenleigh — Nicole, Rob and Trevor — who created a spread of absolutely delicious Caribbean dishes. The food was a real highlight of the day and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

It was a fantastic celebration, bringing people together with music, laughter, and amazing flavours. 🌺🥘✨
