The Guildhall Practice is an approved provider with UKAS, the UK Government’s governing body for testing laboratories.

Job Title: Testing Practitioner

Job Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Location: Varied settings within the Midlands, predominantly outdoors.

Posting Date: 1st May2021.

Job Overview: To undertake Covid-19 swab sampling on clients at various outdoor testing stations throughout the Midlands, with associated administrative tasks. (Some travel required.)

Essential Qualifications:
A qualified Nurse, Physiotherapist, Osteopath or Paramedic, currently registered with the appropriate UK registration authority.

Possess a full valid driving license and able to drive using your own transport, with business use insurance.

Have valid personal professional indemnity insurance.

You must have a good standard of English and be able to communicate effectively.

Be eligible to work in the UK
Full DBS checked completed (Arranged and funded by Guildhall Practice).

Essential Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey clinical terms in a simple manner to clients.

Strong organisational and administrative skills. Computer literate, including MS office, email and experience using a smartphone.

Be prepared to travel to agreed locations throughout the West Midlands to administer testing.

A calm, friendly, caring and helpful manner when dealing with people and the ability to put clients at ease during the test.

Adaptable, team-oriented approach with the ability to work flexible hours, independently and prioritise work to meet agreed targets within strict time deadlines.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:
Previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment, providing services directly to members of the public.

Previous experience of oropharyngeal and/or nasopharyngeal swabbing.

Working Hours: TBC
Typically, scheduled between 8am – 7pm at agreed locations.

Start date & Duration of Employment: TBC.

Salary and Benefits: £35 per hour
