🪔🪔🪔🪔Why We Celebrate Diwali🪔🪔🪔

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of the most joyful celebrations in India and around the world. It is a time when families and friends come together to share happiness, light lamps, eat delicious food, and enjoy music and dancing.

The lights and candles remind us that light always wins over darkness, and goodness overcomes negativity. People decorate their homes, wear colourful clothes, and share sweets to spread love and hope.

For many, Diwali also marks new beginnings — a time to forgive, to be thankful, and to wish for peace and happiness for everyone.

At Prince of Wales Nursing Home, we celebrate Diwali together to share these lovely traditions, bring smiles, and make our home shine bright with warmth, kindness, and togetherness.

Today we had a visit from the Environmental Health Inspectors, and just like 18 months ago, we’ve been awarded the top rating – 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🎉

A massive thank you to our amazing kitchen team – Tracey, Maxine, Marion, Dal, Reji and Vikki – for the care, effort and pride you put into everything you do 👩‍🍳👏❤️.
