Getting back to my favorite type of embroidery—cross-stitching! 🧵🪡

When it came to capturing the twins’ tiny footprints, I didn’t want to just do a basic bear print (which we actually did at first). I wanted to give it a ✨Neha’s touch✨

So here it is: Ved and Veya’s foot impressions, measured exactly as they were at birth.
Yes, they were this tiny! 👣

A huge thanks to nani , who took over most of the work and was more motivated than I’ve ever been to get this piece done. Forever grateful to her for everything—especially this masterpiece! 😜

We’ve been collaborating with London-based company since 2019, and it’s been a perfect match! Why? Kapdaa’s products are crafted from fabric waste, while our soot ink is made from industrial waste—a sustainable product paired with sustainable ink. ♻️

Kapdaa’s bespoke, eco-friendly range includes everything from signature notebooks (like the one you see here) to luggage tags, coin purses, passport holders, coffee cup sleeves, and more. Additionally, you can get our soot print as a service on their products! 🌿

For your eyes only... After much experimentation we have been able to develop tags and labels for ‘MoonWash’ in collaboration with Neha, founder of Soot. .
The tags have been printed on seed paper which can be further planted by IRO IRO wearers under a thin layer of soil; it will bloom within 4-6 weeks time. The labels have been printed on waste fabric. We made sure not to make anything more than needed. And we only needed to communicate “who made your clothes” and “why”. It is not our intention to just make each garment zero waste but to establish a circular system.
I met Neha at an event in Jaipur. She had developed an ink using industrial air pollutants, and I had started work on upcycling waste into hand-woven fabrics. For me it became imperative to collaborate with her and tell the story of soot in the IRO IRO style.
