It's been a while since I posted on social media so I thought I would share from a post I made recently on my personal profile just to give you a bit of insight into my world✨
People have many beliefs about what happens when we die including reincarnation, but the reality is we do not know. We could have opportunities to experience many lives but the only thing we know for certain is that we have THIS life and I am here for it!
I sometimes see posts on social media where people are complaining about being ‘old’ or being shy about revealing their age. Well, a few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be able to celebrate my 50th birthday and I am honoured and grateful that I have reached this milestone!
A lot has happened since my last big birthday when I embraced being 40. Some things have been difficult and a real challenge, and others have been simply wonderful.
This is a little snapshot:
• Started work in a school and got promoted twice
• Got married in a handfasting ceremony on a farm in North Yorkshire
• Moved house twice and bought my first home
• Diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer resulting in; surgery, Chemo and Radiotherapy, Bone infusions every six months, Implant injections every three months. Oral medication
• Embraced a medically induced menopause (it was going to happen anyway!)
• Went wild swimming in Scotland and meditated for a week at a Buddhist retreat centre
• Had a Minor Ischaemic Stroke
• Diagnosed with Osteopenia
• Said a final goodbye to some amazing souls including my beautiful grandma and my best friend’s little boy
• Started my own business
• Completed ‘Couch to 5K’ twice, joined the gym and survived my first ever Zumba class
• Watched my lovely dad get diagnosed with a brain tumour that eventually ended his life
Life can be challenging but it is also a gift and I am embracing this magical next chapter with a twinkle in my eye and loving kindness in my heart. The pagan festival Samhain was celebrated recently and is, amongst other things, a symbol of rebirth. So with this in mind I say a fond farewell to the forty-something me and hail and welcome to my fifties! Stay wild moonchild!🌙
Peace Out 🙏
