Fiber is not digested by the body and has minimal impact on blood glucose levels. It slows down the absorption of other carbohydrates consumed during the meal, preventing rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.

2๏ธโƒฃLow glycemic index: Most green salad ingredients, such as leafy greens, cucumbers, bell peppers, and tomatoes, have a low glycemic index (GI). The GI measures how quickly carbohydrates in a food raise blood glucose levels. Foods with a low GI release sugar into the bloodstream gradually, providing sustained energy.

3๏ธโƒฃWater content: Green salads are often high in water content, which adds volume to the meal without significantly increasing calorie intake. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Luisa had tried everything: weight watchers, keto, intermittent fasting, hcg injections, Noom, paleo,โ€ฆ.. you name it, she had tried it.

๐Ÿ˜” Luisa mentioned โ€œI was very discouraged and feeling helpless with regards to weight loss. I was very unhappy with my physical appearance and was getting quite concerned about developing illnesses and diseases associated with being overweight. I was working out fairly regularly but not seeing any results.โ€

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ She wanted to make a change after having dinner with a friend that she hadnโ€™t seen for a long time and she though she looked amazing! She reached out to her to ask what she had been doing and she told her about Body Smart!

Repost ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ Kirsten is a teacher who lives a very physically and mentally demanding job. She had been on every diet, had 2 trainers and even had bariatric surgery. But nothing was sustainable.

โ€˜I try to focus on my non scale victories. Did I drink my water, get in my steps, fuel my body, take care of myself mentally? The scale is only one sentence in your daily story.โ€™
โ€˜Did I eat later than normal?
Was I drinking more water yesterday?
Did I have more carbohydrates than normal?
Have I weighed in earlier than usual?

You can usually answer yes to more than one question. If that is the case you know itโ€™s just water weight.
