🎅 He’s been!

We were delighted to welcome Father Christmas on Christmas Day. There were smiles, surprises and plenty of festive cheer as he made his way around our home.

One of those moments that brought so much joy to this special day. 🎄✨

We’re so lucky to have such a wonderful community around us and want to thank you for every visit and all the all the moments you’ve made with us.

If you fancy popping in over the festive period, our door is always open. There's always a cuppa with your name on it and plenty of people who'd love to see you.

The Sound of Carols 🎶

The St Silas Church choir always fills our home with song. We were tapping along with the tambourines, joining in and getting into the Christmas spirit together.

One of those moments that feels festive, easy and best shared amongst friends old and new.

A very special pre-Christmas visit from the Olive School. 🎄

We were delighted to welcome students, who arrived with thoughtfully prepared hampers for residents and team members. There was also homemade Christmas fudge, which quickly became a firm favourite!

A memorable moment followed when the head boy and head girl stood up to recite ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. The room fell completely silent, then filled with applause. Conversations followed with residents sharing their own Christmas memories and traditions with the children.

It was a visit full of kindness and joy. Thank you to the students and teachers for spending time with us and we hope to continue this into the new year.

The table was busy with paper, glue and plenty of conversation. A chance to take our time, share ideas and enjoy creating something together.

We recently welcomed children from the charity Benefit Mankind who came to share Christmas cheer and thoughtful gifts with our residents. 🎄💛

There was lots of chatting and smiles as gifts were handed over and time was spent together. It was one of those visits where we all thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company.

Thank you to everyone who made this visit possible. It meant a great deal to us.

We had a brilliant morning doing sit-down exercises with Coach Rob. 🎉

These sessions are so important for our wellbeing. Regular exercise helps maintain mobility and independence, keeping our bodies active and our minds healthy.

A perfect example of how we bring positivity through shared experiences. A huge thanks to Rob for always bringing such a great energy.

We've had such a wonderful week here at New Springfield. ✨

We took the minibus to Blackpool for the illuminations and fish and chips, held our very first choir practice with team member Tom on the piano and finished with our Christmas Spectacular.

Every week looks a little different here, but regular clubs like choir practice provide routine. That mix of new experiences and structure is what makes life here meaningful and filled with purpose.

We had a visit from the panto! ✨🎭

There was a fantastic turnout for Jack and the Beanstalk and we were thrilled to welcome Louise and her residents from White Ash Brook. The interaction was brilliant, with choruses of "Oh yes he did!" and "He's behind you!" A huge shout out to our very own Shiraz who stole the show as the pantomime cow!

Most residents grew up going to pantos and shared experiences like these tap into long-term memory, which can bring a lot of joy to everyone, but particularly those living with dementia.

New Springfield Christmas Spectacular! ✨🎄

We'd love for you to join us on Friday 5th December for an afternoon of festive fun.

🍽️ Traditional Christmas Dinner - 12:00pm
Roast lamb or salmon with all the trimmings, Yorkies, pigs in blankets followed by a selection of desserts.

🎶 Entertainment - 1:30pm

Families are warmly invited to come along and celebrate with your loved ones. It's the perfect way to start the Christmas season together.

We came together on Remembrance Day, reflecting and sharing stories with one another.

Complete with plush leather recliners, a popcorn machine and piano bar, The New Springfield is already creating meaningful moments, like when Paul reconnected with his childhood memories through classic films.
