I had the pleasure of listening to “Lads like us” speak yesterday. Their honesty, vulnerability, bravery really inspired me and really made me think about the power of change and the power of not being held “hostage” by your own trauma or history. They have shown that despite how their story started, it’s never too late to be great. How they spoke felt very “shackles off” to me , it felt like freedom, the freedom to be who you want to be, the freedom to thrive, the freedom to do anything you set your mind too despite the odds being stacked against you!
