Mindfulness for Busy Mums.....
Are you a busy mum with a never ending ‘to do’ list, regularly spinning lots of plates and finding life slightly overwhelming at times?
If the answer is a big ‘yes’ then maybe mindfulness could be a way to help….
Practicing mindfulness allows us to live in the present moment, to focus on what’s important and to help us to stop living in our heads.
By focussing on the present, mindfulness can help to counteract worry and overthinking. Worry about the future and overthinking about the past.
Although it is important to learn from our past and plan ahead for the future, when we spend too much time outside of the present moment, we can feel stressed or anxious.
Through a variety of simple techniques, mindfulness practice can easily be incorporated into everyday life. The opportunity to stop and pause for a while is rare, but when we do, it can help to create the space to re set and refresh, allowing us to adapt and cope with every day challenges in a more calm and focussed way.
I would like to share with you a testimonial from one of the participants who attended my beginners mindfulness course.
'As a mum, my life always consisted of looking after others. My children always come first, my partner, my work and then me.
I needed some time for me and just didn't know where to start.
