✨ A thread between worlds… ✨

Today I learnt something new and wonderful: In Siberia, Nganasan women once marked the moons of their pregnancy not with words, but with stitches.
Each moon, a strip of colourful fabric sewn into their garments — ten moons in total — a living calendar of becoming. 🪡🌕

How beautiful is that? Their pregnancy worn as art, as ritual, as a remembrance.
Each colour, a whisper of transformation and each stitch, a moment of devotion, reflection and connection.

I love this so much — a reminder that your journey doesn’t need to be rushed or hidden, that it is uniquely yours.
You’re weaving something ancient, luminous, and entirely your own maybe even creating a keepsake for your baby.

Maybe your version isn’t thread and fabric — maybe it’s journaling, a weekly photo, a scent, a song but whatever it is, let it be a ritual of becoming and acknowledging of your pathway to motherhood.

Out of office, into awe.

For the next week I’m letting myself be swept up in travel, wonder, and the soft, ancient magic of Africa, heart first.

If you’d like to wander alongside me, I’ll be sharing a few stories and reflections over on Substack as we go — a little mini travel journal from the cradle of the wild. 🌍✨

A birth altar is a small, sacred space — a physical reflection of the inner work of creation. It’s where you gather the symbols, textures, and whispers of your becoming: a candle for light, a flower for growth, a stone for grounding, a photo or poem that stirs something deep within.

Even before conception, this space becomes a tender meeting point between your intention and the mystery of life. A place to sit quietly with your hopes, to offer gratitude, to soften into trust.

You might light a candle each morning, lay a fresh flower, or simply pause to breathe and remember what you’re calling in. Over time, your altar grows and changes as you do — a living expression of your devotion, your readiness, and your connection to the great creative cycles of womanhood.

Creating a birth altar isn’t about ritual for ritual’s sake. It’s about making space for reverence in the ordinary — turning a corner of your home into a threshold between the seen and unseen, the dream and its becoming.

GLOW YOGA

Hi, I’m Aimee.

A yogi (forever in training), a primary school teacher and mother to two gorgeous boys. I am extremely passionate about sharing with everyone my love of Yoga and the magic it has to heal, prepare and protect us all in this wild ebb and flow we call life.

I have a particular passion for pre and post natal yoga and supporting women on this incredible journey into motherhood and beyond. My aim is to help prepare you for a healthy, confident and positive birth and be there through pregnancy and in the postpartum stage as you move through matrescence and become a mother.
