✨ A thread between worlds… ✨
Today I learnt something new and wonderful: In Siberia, Nganasan women once marked the moons of their pregnancy not with words, but with stitches.
Each moon, a strip of colourful fabric sewn into their garments — ten moons in total — a living calendar of becoming. 🪡🌕
How beautiful is that? Their pregnancy worn as art, as ritual, as a remembrance.
Each colour, a whisper of transformation and each stitch, a moment of devotion, reflection and connection.
I love this so much — a reminder that your journey doesn’t need to be rushed or hidden, that it is uniquely yours.
You’re weaving something ancient, luminous, and entirely your own maybe even creating a keepsake for your baby.
Maybe your version isn’t thread and fabric — maybe it’s journaling, a weekly photo, a scent, a song but whatever it is, let it be a ritual of becoming and acknowledging of your pathway to motherhood.
