Lots of horses rush through pole work, this is because it’s easier as they are using propulsion. To really see the benefits of increasing limb range and strength, SLOW them down… this is also why we primarily prescribe walk poles not trot poles.

Rehab can be better!
Overall, our approach to equine rehab is so poor- hoping they recover by walking out in hand, then just going onto usual activities- and we wonder they reinjure?!
In the human world, a doctor wouldn’t do or prescribe rehab, we wouldn’t call rehab, going for a walk! It’s specific exercises and approaches for different injuries, with close link and oversight from a physio!
This is what our horses deserve!!
