From Monday, 3rd November, the Bolton Diabetes Centre will be renamed as Bolton Primary Care Hub.

This follows the relocation of the Diabetes Service by the Foundation Trust.

From Monday, the centre will be fully occupied by Bolton GP Federation and its Health Hive, enabling the continued delivery of services for and on behalf of practices and PCNs.

A full plan is being implemented to update everyone on the change.

πŸ§ πŸŒ€ Feeling overwhelmed? Stress isn’t just β€œpart of life” β€” it can affect your body, mind and behaviour in real ways.

Here’s what you might experience:
βœ”οΈ Physical: headaches, muscle tension, stomach issues, chest‑racing heartbeats
βœ”οΈ Mental: trouble concentrating, making decisions, constant worrying
βœ”οΈ Behavioural: irritability, sleep too much or too little, eating changes, pulling away from others

When stress becomes long‑term, it can lead to burnout β€” extreme exhaustion, cynicism, reduced performance.

You don’t have to cope with it alone.

β€’ Keep a safe distance
β€’ Never relight a dud firework

πŸŽƒπŸ”ͺ Thinking of carving up a spooky pumpkin this Halloween? Before you do, here’s how to stay safe - and how to keep your sugar intake in check πŸ‘»πŸ¬

How to carve a pumpkin safely:
πŸ› οΈ Use a clean, dry, well-lit area with a sturdy surface.
🧼 Wash and thoroughly dry your hands and tools to avoid slips.
πŸ›‘οΈ Use a proper pumpkin carving kit (small serrated saws) instead of large kitchen knives.
πŸ”„ Always cut away from your body and use small, controlled motions.
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Leave the carving to adults; kids can draw the design or scoop out pulp.
⚠️ If you get cut and heavy bleeding continues for more than 15 minutes, seek medical care.

Too many sweets can impact your health in more ways than one.
Read how sugar affects your body and tips for moderating consumption:

Balance is everything - carve safely, enjoy treats mindfully, and take care.
