With the increasing sophistication of scams and the importance of vigilance in protecting personal and financial information, Awareness Week is an annual initiative aimed at educating the public about the risks of scams and how to protect themselves. Three key actions that individuals can take to safeguard against scams:
Stop: Do not give money or personal information to anyone if you are unsure about their legitimacy.
Check: Verify the authenticity of messages or calls before responding. Always contact organisations directly using official contact details.
Protect: Act quickly if you suspect a scam. Report it to authorities and take steps to secure your personal information.
Importance of the Initiative

The initiative is a collaborative effort involving government agencies, businesses, community groups, and consumer protection organisations. It aims to raise awareness about the increasing sophistication of scams and the importance of vigilance in protecting personal and financial information.

Please find some excellent help and advice on the Government and BBC website. www.bbc.com/mediacentre/2025/scam-safe-week

Nobody is immune from fraud. Learn how to protect yourself from fraudsters by staying vigilant and taking a moment to stop and think. Are you at risk?

World Mental Health Day takes place every year on 10 October. It’s a reminder of the importance of good mental health and the need to prioritise and invest in good mental health.

This year's theme is 'access to services - mental health in catastrophes and emergencies'. The theme highlights the importance of people being able to protect their mental health in times of global instability.

From Tuesday 30th of September we are changing the way you can contact your doctor online.

We are moving from eConsult to SystmConnect, however this should be seamless to you just that the front screen will look a little different.

You do not need to login and will not require any login details, just proceed by clicking on the white tiles as pictured below to process your request.

You now have the following options:
Medical Request – New condition, Existing condition, Medication query
Admin Request – Doctor’s letter, Fit note, Other admin request

That is all you need to do!

After 6 years with Beaufort Road Surgery, Dr Rasool is leaving us for pastures new.

He will be sadly missed by his patients and all his friends & colleagues here but we do wish him all the luck and love for the future.

We have a lovely new GP Partner joining us in November and Dr Rasool’s patients will be automatically transferred then. In the meantime, if you need to make an appointment you will be allocated the next available appointment with one of our other GPs or Registrars.
