Do you find it difficult to unwind? 😵‍💫

Here are 6 ways that can help you to relax and unwind - make sure you save this post for when you need it👇🏻

☁️ Take a bath and read a book, allowing your body to rest and your mind time to focus on something else.

☁️ Enjoy some music, blast your favourite song and don’t hold back on the dancing!

☁️ Write it out. Try brain dumping first, and then writing 3 things you’re grateful for and 3 strengths that you have.

☁️ Say it out loud. Write affirmations and repeat them to yourself in the mirror. You can also tap them into your body using EFT Tapping.

☁️ EFT Tapping. Using a particular tapping sequence you can enjoy tapping out negative energy in your body and restoring balance. This works in a similar way as acupuncture but is less invasive.

☁️ Hypnotherapy. All you need is 10-20 minutes of quiet time, pop your headphones in and listen to an audio and relax.

To break a habit, we must create a new one! 🤞🏻

If I told you not to think about pizza, to stop imagining what it tastes like and all your favourite toppings… What happens? 🤔

You TRY not to think about pizza, and end up really thinking about pizza! 🍕

This is a natural response because your mind does not understand negotiations and simply hears the commands that follow such as ‘think about pizza’.

This is why it is so important to think positively! 🌟

It’s not about focusing hard on trying to stop a habit or thought, it’s about diverting your energy and focusing on new habits so that over time your brain will rewire. 🧠

During hypnosis, when your mind and body are in a relaxed but focused state, your mind is even more accepting of new and positive suggestions and learnings. 💆🏻‍♀️

Rest is a productive tool, that all to often gets overlooked.

In fact, it’s incredibly important to allow our body and mind to recharge.

Just as an empty battery requires recharging, so too do we in order to maximise our energetic output.

Learning to tune in and listen to our bodies and take the rest we need, when we need it will help us go further in the long run.

Take some time to rest and reset, self-care isn’t selfish, it’s a necessity.

There are a lot of buzz words floating around, but it’s important to be clear about what they actually mean…

Let's talk about prioritising yourself! 🙌🏻

🚫 It doesn’t mean not looking after your responsibilities.

🚫 It doesn’t mean treading on others in order to help yourself.

🚫 Prioritising your own needs other those of other people doesn’t mean you’re actively working against others.

✅ It simply means you aren’t depleting yourself to make them happy.

✅ Prioritising yourself is all about looking after your mental, emotional and physical health to keep you healthy, well and resilient.

✅ It’s about listening to your own needs and ensuring those needs are met in ways that respect and care for others too.

It’s helpful to think of your life as a garden, with each flower representing a component of your well-being, and the watering can representing your time and energy. As you water each patch of flowers, eventually your can will run dry - you need to know which flowers are worthy of your attention so you don’t run on empty. 🤍
