🌺 RBL Poppy Collection – Community Spirit in Action 🌺
We were honoured to take part in the RBL Poppy Collection, a wonderful community event organised by the Boscombe and Southbourne Rotary
We had a fantastic time supporting this meaningful cause. One of our residents, who has proudly supported the charity for many years, especially enjoyed reconnecting with the local community.
Thank you to everyone who made this event so special – it was heartwarming to see such kindness and unity in action. 💙

Residents at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection had a lovely visit from the RNLI Lifeguards to give an informative talk on what they do and how they save lives. With living so close to the sea it is important to be safe in the water. Although our residents are not planning on swimming in the sea very soon they truly enjoyed the talk and will be able to pass in information to their families. Residents even got to test out some of the equipment the lifeguards use.

We had a fabulous time welcoming our newest residents to Southbourne Beach Care Home! 🏡✨
With tasty treats, a bit of bubbly, and a live singing performance, the room was soon filled with music, laughter, and even a bit of dancing! 💃🕺

On Friday 24th October, Southbourne Beach Care Home turned pink for a fabulous Wear It Pink fashion show in support of Breast Cancer Now 💖
Team members, residents, relatives, and friends strutted their stuff on the catwalk in some truly wonderful outfits — the buzz in the home was absolutely amazing! 🌟
Thanks to everyone’s generosity, our charity raffle raised almost £400 to help fund life-changing breast cancer research. 💐
A huge thank you to all who took part, supported, and cheered us on — your kindness and spirit made this event unforgettable! 💕

You know it’s autumn when the lovely orange-coloured crops start appearing on the shelves in every store, and pumpkin spice everything fills the menus of the cafés. Pumpkins have become the unofficial symbol of October, with Halloween putting the cherry on top of the pumpkin-themed celebrations. Therefore, as all good things, they deserve their own day to be celebrated.
Today residents at Southbourne Beach Care Home - Avery Collection decided to go on a minibus adventure to 'The Cat and Fiddle Pick your Own' to pick their very own pumpkins to take home ready for our autumn themed crafts next week as well as our pumpkin carving competition.

Today we celebrate the incredible talent, dedication, and creativity of our amazing culinary team. Their passion for food goes far beyond the kitchen — they craft nutritious, seasonal menus tailored to our residents’ tastes and dietary needs, making every meal a moment of joy and connection.
To show our appreciation, each chef received their favourite recipe books as a gift. 📚💝 And to mark the occasion, they treated us to a delicious variety of smoothies during our afternoon social — a perfect blend of flavour and fun! 🥭🍓🍌
