A Bournemouth care home has received a prestigious award for its end-of-life care.
Westbourne Tower Care Home was one of 172 organisations nationwide to be given the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award at the GSF Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 26.
The event, held at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, recognises excellence in end-of-life care in health and social care settings.
The care home, which offers residential, nursing, and dementia care services, was recognised for its "commitment to providing outstanding end-of-life care".
Residential care manager Eric Tito said: "We are absolutely thrilled to receive the Gold Standards Framework Quality Hallmark Award.
"This recognition is a testament to the dedication and compassion of our entire team.
"At Westbourne Tower, we believe every person deserves dignity, respect, and individualised support, and this award reflects our ongoing commitment to making that a reality for all those we care for."
Julie Armstrong-Wilson, chief operating officer for the GSF, added: "We are delighted to congratulate all the organisations that have achieved accreditation and received the Quality Hallmark Award.
"The quality of care and the compassionate cultures we have seen are truly inspiring."
