Lovely Write Up 😍

Despite his love of sport, Craig used to struggle to stay active and couldn't walk short distances without pain creeping in – so he decided to go on a health and fitness journey.

He started by building up his walking stamina, and then he started running. Now a regular part of his weekly routine, Craig's love of running helped him secure a place at this year's London Marathon as part of Slimming World's team of runners. Together, they raised over £16,000 for our life-saving research.

"I ran for Cancer Research UK, in memory of my dad, who sadly passed away last year," Craig says. "I completed Race for Life in 2024 and raised more than £1,000 – and I’m keen to take any opportunity to raise further funds for them, given the importance of the work they do.”

Craig is just one of Slimming World's members who have helped raise a staggering £30 million for us over the years. From donating clothes to participating in events, Slimming World and its members are increasing awareness about the benefits of maintaining a healthy weight and regular exercise in reducing the risk of 13 types of cancer.

A huge thank you to Craig and everyone who has donated!
