Pop in to talk to us about the current transformation process, meet Governors, or find out about volunteering opportunities. If you're eligible you can get your flu and/or COVID jabs (1pm onwards) and also get your blood pressure checked.

Lots of local partner organisations will be joining us, sharing info and advice on their latest campaigns and initiatives. With loads of interactive activities planned, it'll be a busy and fun event!

Last week we marked the second of two Black History Month celebrations at UHD with an event at Poole Hospital.

It was an opportunity for colleagues to come together and raise awareness of BHM, as well as share their own reflections and lived experiences.

Huge thanks to our Diverse Ethnicity Network members, and Louise from DEED Global Learning who all helped to make the afternoon such a success.

We are proud to stand hand in hand with our Black colleagues at UHD, and are grateful for having such a diverse and brilliantly talented community across our Trust.

💙 Light Up the Prom has been postponed! 💙

We’re so sorry to share that Light Up the Prom, planned for tomorrow, Monday 3 November, has been postponed due to the forecast of bad weather. 🌧
This special evening of light and remembrance means so much to so many, and we want everyone to be able to gather safely and comfortably to honour their loved ones. 💫

A new date will be announced soon, and we hope you’ll join us then to fill Bournemouth Pier Approach with light, love and togetherness. 🌟

If you have already made a donation to the event, your candles will be transferred to the new date.

❗ Big changes are happening across University Hospitals Dorset.....❗

Next summer, the Emergency Department (ED) at Poole Hospital will move over to combine with the ED at the Royal Bournemouth site, making it a large scale major emergency centre. Poole Hospital will become one of the largest major planned care centres in the UK. Both sites will keep their Urgent Treatment Centres, treating non life-threatening injuries or issues. Going for gold! 🏅

Well done to Catherine Holdsworth, part of our Christchurch Outpatient Team, who competed at the European Masters 2025 Athletics Championships in Madeira this month.

She achieved bronze in the shotput, silver in the discus and gold in the throws pentathlon – what an amazing achievement and a huge congratulations!
