Hi everyone, I hope you've all been keeping well. As some of you will know, I have been running therapy sessions through facetime, however as of this week I am now back to having face to face meetings at both of my offices. πŸ‘‹πŸΌ
I will obviously be adhering to social distance guidelines to protect myself and my clients. 2 meters distance will be kept to at all times and hand sanitiser will be provided on arrival. Please feel free to contact me for further information. 🌼
I look forward to seeing you, as I've missed seeing face to face contact. However, please only attend if you feel well and healthy. I am still offering virtual sessions so we can still speak via there if it's more suitable. β˜€οΈ

At this very uncertain time due to the impacts of Covid 19 Mind charity have released some advice for those who are feeling unsure or concerned. I am going to share a few points on this post and I will also include the link to the full list in my bio. πŸ’›
Stay hydrated and eat well. Drinking water regularly and eating healthy foods will not only help your body, but also your mind and mood. πŸ’š
Try not to watch too much news or spend too much time looking on the internet and social media. It is important to stay informed, but don't over-dose on it. Also remember social media news isn't always correct. πŸ’œ
Lastly a piece of advice from me and it's regarding breathing. Breathe in through the nose, then a big long breathe out though your mouth. Repeat this 10 times and it will help keep your heart rate down allowing your body to feel calmer and ensuring your brain functions in a rational and helpful way. 🧑
I'm wishing you all safe and well, as always. πŸ’–

I will continue to offer telephone/zoom/facetime sessions to support people through this uncertain time. ☎️ If you have any queries please get in contact, as always my details are in my bio. πŸ’–

Good morning, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. During this uncertain time I wanted to share a conversation I overheard last week... πŸ‘‚πŸΌ
There were two young girls (around 10 years old), one was telling the other about how horrible girls at school were being towards her. Her friend replied "why would you be friends with people who are so horrible to you?" The girl replied "because I need them, I don’t have any other friends". πŸ’”
It was sad but heart warming at the same time to listen to such young girls talk about the difficulties of friendships and hear them process their feelings. It was also encouraging to hear the kind words of her friend building her up and reassuring her that she doesn’t have to be friends with horrible people. πŸ’ͺ🏼
Although I felt the urge to join the conversation, I quickly realised that the girls didn’t need my support or advice. They had each other backs and were sharing a very special moment, which I felt honoured to have witnessed. βœ¨πŸ’–
The reasons I'm sharing this is 1) to remind you all that we always have the right to be respected and when we aren't respected we have the right to walk away and respect ourselves. 2) The importance of talking to someone that you trust about difficult times. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ—£οΈ

At the start of this new week I want to talk to you all about contributing to others and our communities. πŸ‘πŸΌ
Did you know that one of our core human needs is contribution? We have core needs that need to be met, to make us feel happy. They are love/connection, certainty, significance, challenge/variety, contribution and growth. The first four create an internal feeling of happiness, the last two create a sense of fulfilment. πŸ“–
We all know the feeling we get when we give to others. It feels good and in return it builds our own sense of value and worth. For example, last week I gave blood. It didn't take much time out of my day, but it could completely change someone else's life. What an amazing feeling. ❀️ πŸ’―
Let's all try to endeavour to help when we can and contribute to our own fulfilment and other people's happiness. πŸ˜€

Try and take a little time out today to practise self-care. It could be anything from going outside for some fresh air, painting your nails, having a long soak in the bath or reading a chapter of a book. Let me know how you get on... Happy Sunday! πŸ’β£οΈ

Last night I met and they taught us all about modern slavery whilst launching their brand new website. It was such an eye opening evening and I took so much more than just knowledge away from it. πŸ˜”
It's terribly scary and saddening to know that it happens every day, right in front of us on our own door steps? It's time to get educated. Please follow their page for more information and check out their spanking new website which they launched last night, which has lots of information about their campaign and message. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»πŸ‘πŸΌ

Good morning! I'm rather late, but still wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope the first week or so of 2020 has been kind to you. 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣
I'm aiming to be more active on my page, offering advice, my thoughts and helping to spread some positive vibes. πŸ’–
Like this photo says, I truly hope that if anyone sees my page, or comes for therapy and opens up to me whilst they feel like they are at breaking point, that they decide not to give up. ✨
If you feel as if you're struggling or need to speak things through all of my contact details are in my bio. πŸ“ž

There’s so much pressure these days to start the new year as a "new you" leaving your vices behind, and starting a "new blank page." But realistically tomorrow will just be like any other day, January will be like any other month, and next year will be like those before it. Try to not overthink and overwhelm yourself. 🀯
You don't need to set unrealistic fitness goals, start strict diets, ban chocolate, reshuffle your entire life and sign up for a marathon to try and make the upcoming year one you think you need. Just small steps in the right direction to a better frame of mind will work wonders.πŸ’πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
I'm personally going to try and be kinder to myself. I will celebrate any successes from my days, whether it be washing my hair or making a start on the ever-growing pile of admin.πŸ’‘πŸ‘πŸΌ
