While this world and all its wise inhabitants are sorting out the big problems, it's important to realise our place.
We have very little control over what we are subject to, eg wars, terrorism, social grapevine etc and the list goes on and on.
We are wise to remember that we have the power to switch off to the unnecessary, the unneeded and the unhelpful!
Interestingly what we have control of , and is one of the most influential tools of the human body, is.....our tongue! And also our Mind.
Yet during the majority of our time the two are sometimes not used together. If this is something that strikes a bell within ( it does for me!!) , then take note....there is still hope...

Time to undertake a new chapter. First and foremost remember you are human and allowed to make mistakes ( it's how most of us learn) we have a duty to go gentle on ourselves by being self-correcting not self-punishing. To change the essence of our unique nature takes time, dedication and practice. The next step is to work on that which most irritates you about yourself....if we are honest, most of the issues we have are often a mirror reflection of an inner gripe or issue that we have about ourselves. Hence the expression Mind your own Business!!!
Ok all good so far? Great...
Now, this step is to take that "inner bull" by the horns, and step by step chip away at the issue and make small changes to our perceptions and attitudes. Also, when we accept that something can be changed ...we are half way there and then we feel better as the healing has begun. With commitment we can overcome almost any Challenge or obstacle in life. At the very least we can make changes to how we handle, deal with and perceive things, we switch from deep rooted negative patterns to new positive practices.
Our thoughts can shape our reality so it's important that we challenge our thoughts and thought-patterns...are they helping our happiness level or are we trying to endure in a false reality??
Only we can answer this for ourselves, but rest-assured, if our intuition doesn't feel right or we are 'foggy' with something then we can apply ourselves to change our thoughts and influence our viewpoint of our reality.
How??
Well, meditation for one, sitting in the silence and going within. Motivation is important too, the idea of a life with less suffering and inner conflict would motivate me enough to make a few adjustments within my mind!
How long for?
As long as it takes, being patient, be mindful and have determination to strive for happiness and clarity.
This is something that money can't buy, it isn't freely granted either... however it is achievable as it is within every one of us.
We all have to work a little harder and smarter to be better people and there's always room for improvement.
Happiness is the end goal true, but the key lies in the journey...enjoy it and be kind to you and others.
