Natasha Heart Space

Natasha Heart Space Paintings and Painting Workshops to help you to uncover and connect and have fun! When you live from the heart an inner peace, joy and freedom grows within.

Natasha has always expressed her artistic side and enjoys enabling others to do that too. Natasha believes that connection is one of the most important things for making your way through life: connection to others, a connection with your spirit and a connection with the world you live in. Eyes are opened enabling you to see exciting opportunities and the gifts that are right there in front of you. This is where the magic happens! Natasha's Artistic Journey:
"When I used to paint, it use to have to be a direct copy of what I saw infront of me and if it wasn't perfect, it was discarded. In the last six years I have discovered a new way of painting. Learning to let go of my controlled style and artistic ability to make way for a spontaneity to guide my work. Before the process was hardwork, exhausting and quite destructive. Now the process in which I paint is healing and nourishing, it is the journey of creating that is more valuable than the end result. However, when I journey from a place of curiosity the end result is quite wonderful". Natasha paints with acrylic on canvas and her series of work centres around colour, vibrancy and energy. When painting she lets go; of the notion of painting what is in front of her, of painting something that's perfect or planned. Instead she likes to let the act of painting flow organically, taking each stroke as it comes and creating something that she couldn't have imagined when looking at the blank canvas. Naturally this involves a lot of playing, experimenting and letting go. Natasha is a trained life coach, with a heart to build peoples sense of purpose, healthy relationships and self awareness. She supports people in their desire to become connected and she sees painting as an amazing way to explore these things. This is an incredibly freeing method of painting that many people may not feel like they can do. So she facilitates people’s creativity and creates a safe space for people to explore and have fun with paint. What do the workshops look like? Natasha provides facilitated spaces where people can undergo a creative journey. These workshops are different to other painting workshops. Instead of focusing on technique and skill development, it focuses on creating a space where there is the freedom to play with paint on canvas and be surprised at what you can create. There is the option of a 3-hour one off workshop, ranging up to 2 day workshops. These workshops are by arrangement: examples of workshops include:

3 hour workshops (adults only).
1 day workshops
3 hour painting party at your home (great for hen dos)
In the process of developing the following:
* Evening sessions for parents and their teens
* 1 1/2 hour parent and toddler sessions in a café/play centres

Equipment and refreshments are provided at these sessions. At the end of the session you will have your own piece of art work to keep and remind you of your creative journey. Who should come to the workshops? There are lots of different types of people who come to these sessions:

Painting beginners
Painting professionals
People at a cross roads
People who feel a bit stuck
People who were told they’re not “artistic” but want to challenge that
Those who fancy something new

Why do the workshop? This workshop is a time to lose yourself and find yourself at the same time. We can spend so much time in our heads; thinking about work/finances/tomorrow, trying to analyse and control our surroundings, trying to keep afloat in this busy world where there is an endless list of things to do. These workshops are a time to give your heads a real break and give space to connect and see things from a different perspective!

I have just had a blast from the past... (is that a saying?) I came across the radio interview that I did 18 months ago. Made me smile, cringe a bit with all the 'ums' and cry with how far I have come and what I have achieved both outwardly and inside. My life has changed in magical ways over the last 22 months! To anyone out there that is going through a challenging time. Remember...
1) This too shall pass
2) To love and be gentle with yourself

These days Bournemouth's Natasha Larment makes art from her heart space not head space

Hello! Motherhood... wow! I am so blessed and loving most minutes!!! Daisy is a little sweetheart! She is 11 weeks old already!

Today I was able to have a few hours painting, it was magic. It is so nourishing to be painting again. This is the first painting since having Daisy. I thought I would share it with you. It is not yet finished, well I don't think it is...and it hasn't a name yet. It would be great to hear what you see in it/ feel from it and/or what you would name it!

I also have some workshops coming up in Bournemouth, I will be posting these events. As most of you know, I am now living in Surrey, (only 1 1/4 hours by car from Bournemouth). I will be predominantly working up here; offering 1-1's in my studio as well as setting up group workshops in the Guildford/Farnham area, around looking after Daisy. But I will be coming down to Bournemouth to run two workshops on a Sunday; November 27th, March 12th and July 9th. Message me if you are interested, places are limited to 8 people per workshop. I am so looking forward to supporting you on your creative journeys!

Bye for now!

When was the last time you just played, painted or just did something because you wanted to?
Not because it was on your list of things to do or you had to or that it was for some bigger reason/outcome. As adults we can spend so much time doing; planning, organising, working towards getting the end result we want, we can miss the true gift of being present.

Reading and working through the book the Artists Way by Julia Cameron really helped me with this. It is so nourishing and healing to take time out to just be, to create just because, like a child would. Yes, I know there can be lots to get done and it is easy to say 'Well once I have done this I will then take time for me', but I know from experience that often it doesn't happen. If any of this rings true with you, then I say, book out a day, a morning, even a few hours of YOU time to nourish your inner self and heart. Could you set aside time each week for yourself, to be in the moment and do whatever you feel like doing!?
Write it in pen in your diary, make a date with yourself!
You deserve it...You will love it!
I would love to hear how you get on! :)
