Constraint - a conclusion I came to, about myself in order to stay safe. It is both real and it isn’t, it’s both true and not true and that’s ok, have compassion for yourself…. Only then - it’s not a choice until it is 💙the mind will fight to prove the constraint to be true …. I.e ‘I am bad’ ‘I am not lovable’ ‘I am helpless’.

Once we have an awareness of ‘it’s not true, I am both stuck and I am not stuck’ …… the whole system of feeling stuck collapses.

It feels very real…. Am I saying this easy?? No I did not!! It can be terrifying and explains why we choose to stay stuck and safe … can I have compassion for myself? Yes … my system has been using the constraint to keep me safe for a long time …. 30 years plus sometimes!! 50 years plus maybe!! 🌅
