Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals.
Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Administer medication as prescribed, monitor for any side effects, and report changes in health conditions.
Provide specialist care and support for individuals with dementia, sensory impairments, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities.
Encourage and facilitate social interaction and engagement in meaningful activities.
Use behaviour management techniques to address challenging behaviours and foster a calm environment.
Safely perform lifting and handling tasks, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including reports on health, well-being, and behaviour.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to develop and implement personalised care plans.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in patient care, nursing homes, senior care, childcare, or similar settings is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Familiarity with medication administration and dementia care techniques is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to provide support to individuals with sensory and communication needs, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients and families.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in managing challenging behaviours with professionalism and composure.
