We still have some spaces available at our wellbeing group for Muslim SEND parents starting next week in Easton. We know how difficult it is to parent a child with additional needs and at times how isolating and lonely it can be. The wellbeing group will help you to connect with other like minded parents and will help you to process those big emotions in a safe and welcoming space. All our welcome and we would love to see you there.

The SEND parent path is hard, there is no doubt about it. But does hard have to mean bad? Sadly in many cases the answer is yes: Parents experiencing hardship in isolation - this is bad. Familes experiencing hardship in exclusion - this is bad.

However, when we go through hard times in close connection with others, surrounded by support, validation and love, we can actually grow. We can even thrive. Our perspective broadens and deepens. We see things through a wider, wiser lense. The hardship may be ongoing, but our inner world is alive, passionate, learning and expanding.

Come find connection and growth in our nurture group courses. Some people descibe them as life changing. :)

What constitutes a good life? Commercial media places a huge emphasis on ease, encouraging us to pursue instant gratification and ways of living that remove challenge, friction and difficulty. With a billion dollar marketing crusade feeding us these messages 24/7, it’s not surprising that we SEND parents can start feeling a sense of failure; our lives are often peppered with unavoidable struggle. But maybe there is an invitation amidst this challenge. To see value in struggle, to find growth in challenge, to fire up the passion and determination within our souls as we navigate this fabulously difficult life-climb, obtaining perspectives and wisdom that paths of ease are unlikely to reveal.

Nurture groups are spaces to explore all this and more. Book your place on one of this terms courses here: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/nurture-groups-january-2026-4796307?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=creatorshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=odclsxcollection&utm-source=cp&aff=escb

Pause your scrolling and give yourself the gift of 4-5 deeper breaths. Breath is your ally. It nourishes and resources your entire system. Micro self-care sessions like this can be a parent carers best friend.

Happy New Year. If you are a parent of a SEND child, we know how difficult and exhausting it can be caring for a child/ren and prioritising self-care goes to the bottom of the pile. You can change this today. If you would like to meet other like-minded people, feel less isolated, find connection and explore your emotions and feelings in a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space then our 8-week nurture group is the place for you.

There are 3 courses running in Easton, Hartcliffe and Fishponds starting at the end of January. They are small friendly groups but places are limited.

Places are free as we want to make it accessible for everyone but we do suggest a donation to support the running costs.
