🙏 Glebe House – A Bittersweet Farewell to John 💛

John has been leading services at Glebe House for an incredible eighteen years, and today’s service was a truly bittersweet occasion. We are always so pleased to see him, and it was sad to say goodbye.

John was delightfully surprised when an afternoon tea trolley arrived, filled with gifts! It was especially heartwarming to see Christine present them, as they have been friends for over twenty years.

It was a truly special day, filled with memories, gratitude, and celebration of John’s dedication over the years. 🌟

🍽️ Beech House – A Delightful Lunch Out at Fromebridge Mill 🍨

Win, Hazel, and Glan joined us for a lovely spot of lunch at Fromebridge Mill. Over the meal, we enjoyed chatting about our past careers — Win was a school head teacher, Glan a mechanical engineer, and Hazel a qualified nurse. There were plenty of stories to share, and it was wonderful to hear about each other’s experiences. 💬✨

To finish the afternoon on a sweet note, Hazel suggested a treat, and we all enjoyed a few scoops of ice cream with sauce — the perfect ending to a lovely day! 🍦💛

❄️ Field House – A Magical Winter Wonderland Visit ✨

Despite Friday’s wet and windy weather, the Field House Well-Being Team managed to take a couple of residents out to visit the Winter Wonderland at a local garden centre.

The trip was well worth it — residents were absolutely mesmerised by the stunning central display, filled with sparkling lights, festive scenes, and beautiful decorations. 🎄✨

A lovely start to the festive season and a memorable outing for all. ❤️

🌟 A Lovely Weekend at Glebe House 🌟

Saturday afternoon was full of fun and friendly competition as residents enjoyed a lively quiz, all eager to shout out the answer first! This was followed by a very chatty and relaxing afternoon tea, with plenty of laughter and conversation. ☕💬

On Sunday, it was time for a bit of pampering for someone who has been away too long. Eve did a wonderful job making up some goody bags — and she proved to be very talented at it! 🎁✨❤️🙏

💛 Beech House – Supporting Children in Need! 💛

Today, Beech House staff and management are proudly wearing polka dots or pyjamas to support BBC Children in Need and help raise funds for this important cause. From colourful dots to cosy nightwear, the home is full of fun and kindness!

This evening, residents and staff will come together to watch the Children in Need broadcast on BBC One, sharing the experience and supporting the incredible work the charity does. 📺✨

A wonderful day of community spirit for a wonderful cause. 💛

🇫🇷 Quarry House – A Wonderful French-Themed Afternoon! 🧀🍷

This afternoon, we enjoyed a fantastic French theme at Quarry House! Residents sampled a delicious variety of cheeses and wine, creating a truly continental experience.

We were also treated to beautiful live harp music from the lovely Julia, adding elegance and charm to the afternoon. 🎵✨
To complete the atmosphere, stunning scenery pictures of France were displayed on the big screen, transporting everyone straight to Paris and beyond. 🇫🇷🌆

A delightful and relaxing afternoon enjoyed by all!

This afternoon, residents had a wonderful time with Kate, enjoying lively piano music and lots of laughter. With music, props, and plenty of smiles, everyone joined in the fun and made it a joyful session from start to finish!
