A little bit of background

The Sunrise Foundation started it’s journey in 2017 after one of the founding trustees was seeking to provide funding for a new charitable organisation serving the disadvantaged and disabled children and young adults in an Andean community in Peru. The idea grew, funds were invested and other trustees came on board - our mission is to support other charities, wherever they operate, who support disadvantaged individuals - this disadvantage may be by way of many factors including, disability, abuse, neglect, poverty, illness, addiction, homelessness or social exclusion.

We invite applications and have a structured application process which requires rigorous reporting following any successful application.

We are seeking to build relationships with the organisations we support and hope to develop these into the future to help develop their work.

We have no employees, our team is 5 trustees who give of their time in different ways to make ‘Sunrise’ work
