Friday 21st November is Funeral Celebrant Day.

As a funeral celebrant I want you to know what a funeral celebrant is and what we do, and the choices that are open to you.

Why is this important? When you’re in the grips of grief and having to make choices within a week or so of someone dying, it is not easy. It is better to be prepared.

Please put your question to me in the comments below or send me a direct message.

Ask me anything that you want to know about. Maybe it is about what to wear; will you see the flames at the crematorium; do you have to have poems or music; what’s the difference between a funeral and a celebration of life; do celebrants have to be qualified; or can you really legally bury the deceased in your back garden?

And yes I did say 'burning questions' - no pun intended!

Had a lovely morning being a model for a training demo with .

Probably not the best of photos but I felt a million dollars afterwards.

Dona really put me at my ease and demonstrated her incredible knowledge of her trade.

I would highly recommend Dona for any wedding couples looking for hair and makeup on their wedding day.

(She didn't touch my hair on this occasion!)

Ring rituals.

Exchanging rings at your wedding is traditional.

But have you considered ring warming?

Tie your rings to an object (shell, drift wood) or handmade cushion in your wedding colours. Let your guests warm your rings in their hands, passing them from one guest to another. Put your rings on each other when everyone has warmed your rings.

The SS Great Britain is a historic wedding venue in Bristol Harbour.
