I have facilitated numerous sound baths over the last few months. My focus has always been on ensuring that the experience is rewarding for all the recipients. It can be relaxing, rejuvenating or challenging- bringing up unresolved issues. Everyone’s journey is unique; there is no right or wrong. What I like best about sound meditation is that it is inclusive. If you have physical limitations you can still participate in this rewarding self- care practise. The soundscape I craft has its basis in my New Moon gong. This gong evokes the setting of intentions and manifestation of your goals. I am thinking of switching things up, and making my Mercury gong the focus of the sound scape this autumn. The Mercury gong represents the synthesis of communication, inventiveness and speech. I had the privilege of supporting the annual Black Joy Wellness event on Sunday. It was a day dedicated to helping people reconnect with themselves and carving out a space for themself within their busy lives. Georgie and Christa put together a wonderful event that benefited participants and facilitators. The event closed with a sound bath that I delivered with my New Moon Gong- which creates a landscape where new intentions can be planted with hope of bearing fruit. A fitting end to a wonderful day.
