Talking out loud can help you to clarify the thoughts going around in your head. Talking with a counsellor can help you identify patterns, gain insight into your own behaviours, why you have made certain decisions or support you with confusing emotions.

Getting into counselling can be difficult for some people, a lot of the time the cost of counselling is something that holds people back.
I am going to offer two spaces of low cost counselling at £25 per session, for 12 sessions. Sessions will be delivered online.

May is mental health awareness month, these last two days I have been thinking about the things we do to keep our cups full. What self care do we have in place that is just for us.
With the longer daylight hours I have been enjoying more time in the sun.
Maybe we can all copy Badger and relax on the beach :)

I have availability to take on new supervisees.

As a person-centred counselling supervisor, I act as a facilitator of growth, helping counsellors to develop their skills while ensuring they provide the best possible support to their clients.
I work with both children and adults.
I have experience with EAP, charity work and private practice including working from the clients home.

5th to the 11th of February is sexual abuse and sexual violence awareness week.
3.6% of adults in Scotland have experienced at least one type of serious sexual assault since the age of 16.
Movements like helped to bring to light how often and how many people are survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. But still more needs to be done.

I offer a safe space for survivors to talk openly about what happened to them and give a place to begin to heal.

Shame
This is something a lot of people keep within themselves. Shame is seen as a strong feeling or painful experience leading us to believe that we are in some way flawed.
Talking about the thing that is causing you shame will begin to ease that feeling and stop giving it control over your life.
Counselling can help begin to take that pain away from you.

Self care is important to your mental health.
This week I have been taking time away from working and doing more things that bring me joy.
Going for walks in the beautiful country side, the views bring me joy and the exercise is also releases endorphins. These endorphins help reduce stress and help improve your mental well-being.
