We had a lovely time at the be:well Wintering Retreat on Saturday. I teamed up with Sophie Black from mentalwellnessretreats.co.uk to offer a day of self-care.

We did journalling, a yoga/Pilates mash-up, restorative yoga, taught everyone a face, scalp and ear massage, and ate really well, thanks to Vanessa from Foodtopia.

The lights were turned low, the heating was turned up, and we had a cosy, restful day, looking after body, mind and soul.

I love finding poems that say what I want to say, but better. Or just make me think... This week has been a bit stressful (yes, even yoga teachers get stressed! 😆), so here's to a few days of slowing down, letting myself be, and really taking in the world around me.

Have patience.
Slow down.
The gap between
'Where I am'
and
'Where I want to be'
is full of possibility.
So don't rush through it.
Take time.
Find the dignity in slowness.
Learn to love the gap.
Grace it with your presence.
It is bursting with life, and creativity,
and it holds unexpected treasures.
Have patience. Slow down.
Life is only Now.
In Presence, there are no gaps.
Find rest in every step.

I had a lovely time at Immi Wynn's yoga class last night. It was cosy, it was relaxed, and it was a gorgeous sequence. Immi's course, Move & Unwind, starts 6.15pm, Thursday 6th November, and runs for seven weeks. Perfect for beginners - come join us!
