Our first staff get together of the year 💙

What a fantastic opportunity for our Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall team to come together, connect, and celebrate everything that makes a team truly special. From sharing stories to lots of laughter, it was a reminder of just how important it is to make time for one another.

We’re incredibly proud of how our team is growing and, even more so, of the wonderful people who make it what it is. Each and every one brings something unique, and together we create something really meaningful—for each other and for those we care for.

Here’s to building strong connections, supporting one another, and continuing to grow as a team throughout the year ahead ✨

🪽💚🌎Happy World Earth Day 🌍💚🪽

Today, all of us at North Devon & Cornwall Visiting Angels are celebrating the beautiful world we’re lucky to call home. From our stunning coastlines to our rolling countryside, we’re reminded every day how important it is to care for our environment—just as we care for the people in our community.

Small actions can make a big difference. Whether it’s reducing waste, reusing where we can, or simply taking a moment to enjoy nature with those we support, every step counts.

Let’s work together to protect our planet—for today, and for future generations.

This Saturday, our Managing Director Hayley and Registered Manager Emma from Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall will be taking on the incredible HeliHike in support of Cornwall Air Ambulance 🚁

It’s such an amazing (and challenging!) course, and we’re so proud to be part of such a great cause. 💛

If you’re taking part too, please come and say hi — we’d love to see some friendly faces along the way and cheer each other on!

Last week we completed some of our staff courtesy calls, and it’s been wonderful to hear such positive feedback from our amazing team 💬

Being truly carer-centric means more than just saying we care — it’s about listening, understanding, and acting on what really matters. The insights we gain from the people delivering care every single day are invaluable, and they help shape how we grow and improve.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team for sharing their thoughts so openly. Your voices make all the difference ❤️

Apprentice Opportunity!!!

We’re hiring! 📣

We’re looking for an Apprentice Admin to join our team in our Bude office to help support the office with day-to-day tasks and paperwork.

This role would be perfect for someone just leaving school who’s not quite sure what direction to take yet, but is interested in learning about admin work and gaining real hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

You’ll be working alongside a home care provider, so an interest in health and social care would be a great asset.

No experience needed – just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good attention to detail. Making a good cup of tea would be a bonus too 😜 ☕️

If you or someone you know might be interested, please get in touch!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that we have been nominated for Care Team of the Year at the South West Care Awards! 🎉

This recognition means so much to us because it reflects what truly matters at the heart of everything we do — the incredible relationships between our clients and caregivers. We pride ourselves on creating a service where clients feel comfortable, valued, and heard, even choosing the caregivers they connect with most to ensure every visit feels right for them.

Our team consistently goes above and beyond, showing compassion, kindness, and genuine love for the work they do every single day. We couldn’t be prouder of the dedicated individuals who make our care family so special.

Thank you to our amazing team and wonderful clients for making this possible 💙

🌸 Spring is here, and with it comes brighter days, fresh air, and the perfect time to get out and about across North Devon & Cornwall! 🌿

At Visiting Angels, we know how important it is to stay active and independent as the seasons change. With spring in full swing, here are a few gentle mobility tips to help you or your loved ones enjoy it safely:

🌼 Start slow and build up – If you’ve been less active over winter, ease back into movement with short walks and light stretching.
🌼 Wear supportive footwear – Good grip and comfort make all the difference, especially on uneven paths or coastal trails.
🌼 Use walking aids if needed – Sticks or frames can boost confidence and stability when exploring outdoors.
🌼 Stay hydrated – Even in cooler spring weather, it’s important to drink plenty of water.
🌼 Take breaks and enjoy the view – Benches, picnic spots, and quiet moments are part of the joy!

Whether it’s a stroll along the coast, a visit to a local garden, or simply enjoying your own outdoor space, spring is a wonderful time to reconnect with the world around us. 🌷

If you or a loved one could use a little extra support to stay active and independent this season, our friendly team at Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall is here to help.

Let’s make the most of spring together 💚

We’re excited to share a small but meaningful upgrade for our amazing caregiving team here at Visiting Angels Devon & Cornwall! 🎒✨

You said, and we listened — this idea came directly from one of our staff meetings, and we’re proud to turn your feedback into action.

We’ve recently provided our caregivers with brand new rucksacks to help them carry their PPE and essential items more comfortably and efficiently as they travel between clients.

Our caregivers are always on the move, delivering compassionate, high-quality care in the community, so having everything they need in one convenient place makes a real difference to their day-to-day work.

It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to support our team, so they can continue to provide the very best care to the people who matter most ❤️

Thank you to our incredible caregivers for everything you do every single day!

Thank you also to Vicky who very kindly modelled the rucksack today 🙂
