📢 Right to Choose – Clarification

We would like to apologise for any confusion caused by our recent update and hope this provides some clarity.

Due to NHS commissioning arrangements set by Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), there are limits on how many patients a provider can see for assessment and medication pathways each financial year. These limits form part of an Indicative Activity Plan (IAP), which helps manage capacity across the NHS.

As a provider, we are unable to override these limits. Because IAPs are set at the start of each financial year, it can be difficult for us to predict how long patients may need to wait beyond the current financial year.

At present, we are closed to new referrals for children in Norfolk and Suffolk due to these capacity limits.

We will continue to keep those on our waiting list updated and will share information on our website and social media as soon as we receive it.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding 💙

📢 Right to Choose – Important Update

We want to keep you informed about recent changes affecting assessment waiting times.

All providers have now been issued with an indicative activity plan by the Integrated Care Board. As part of our contract, we are limited to the number of assessments we can carry out each year.

Based on current projections, it is expected that our waiting time may extend beyond one year. Please note that this is subject to change as circumstances evolve.

We have contacted everyone currently on our waiting list with this update.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the integrated care board via:

Thank you for your patience and understanding 💙

🦚 Our Earsham Hall clinic has some rather beautiful neighbours… the resident peacocks who live on the grounds! 🦚

They are always a big hit with the children who come to see us, and spotting them can make a visit to the clinic feel extra special 💙✨

Here are a few peacock facts children might enjoy:
🦚 A peacock’s tail feathers can be over 1 metre long
🦚 The shiny colours on their feathers don’t just come from pigment, they also come from the way light reflects on them, which is why they shimmer so brightly in the sun ✨
🦚 Peacocks can fly, even though many people think they can’t, usually up into trees or onto rooftops
🦚 They like to roost up high at night to stay safe
🦚 Their loud calls can carry a long way, so if you hear a sudden shout, it may just be one of the Earsham Hall peacocks saying hello!
🦚 A group of peafowl is sometimes called a “party” or an “ostentation” which feels very fitting for such dramatic birds!

If you see the resident peacocks during your visit, here are our friendly peacock rules:
💙 Please admire them from a distance
💙 Use calm voices and gentle movements
💙 Do not chase them
💙 Please do not touch or feed them
💙 Let them wander peacefully around their home 🌿

We love that visiting our Earsham Hall clinic can include little moments like this, a glimpse of the resident peacocks, a bit of curiosity, and sometimes a little extra magic too 🦚💙

We were delighted to meet with Colin Lang MBE from Thrive Autism today and hear more about the charity’s vision. Thrive Autism supports neurodivergent children, young people and families across Norfolk and Waveney, while working towards creating Norfolk’s first dedicated Autism Centre. We are excited about the opportunity to work together and were pleased to discover such strong shared values around understanding, support, belonging and helping children and young people thrive.

We’re really pleased to share that CATS (Community Assessment Therapy Services) continues to grow, and due to increasing demand for our specialist services we are expanding our clinic locations.

As part of this growth, we are delighted to be working with Eudaemonia Group , running some of our clinics from their beautiful clinic rooms in Norwich.

This additional space allows our team to support more children, young people and families, providing high-quality assessments and therapy in a calm, professional environment.

At CATS, we are committed to improving access to specialist services, and expanding our clinic locations helps us reduce waiting times and ensure families can access the support they need sooner.

We’re excited about this collaboration and look forward to continuing to grow our services across the region.
