Oh my gosh… it’s officially Christmas sandwich season already! 🎅🥪✨
Every coffee shop I walk past has their festive sarnie out, and the supermarkets are full of them too!

But don’t worry — here at Slimming World we’re not letting you miss out. We’ve got a gorgeous make-at-home version with sweet cranberry sauce, smoky bacon, tender chicken and a lovely crunchy salad… all the Christmassy goodness without going off plan 🙌💛

Life gets wild, doesn’t it? Kids, work, the juggle of everything and everyone… and sometimes it’s easy to slip to the bottom of our own list.
But we can’t lose us.

We went to a country park today — somewhere that, growing up, was the place to go when it snowed. One of my children looked at the hill and said, “Let’s roll down it!”

Now normally, I’d watch, laugh, cheer them on… but today I thought — why not me?

So I zipped up my hoodie, pulled the strings tight, hands above my head like a space rocket… and off I went 🤸‍♀️

I can’t remember the last time I laughed that hard. My kids were in stitches, and for those few seconds, I wasn’t “mum,” or “busy,” or “tired.” I was just me.

And it reminded me of something we talk about a lot in group — how sometimes we hold ourselves back, waiting for the “right moment” or “when we’ve lost a bit more weight” to join in, to feel free, to just live.

But the truth is — the moment is now. 💚

Let’s roll with it. Literally.

🌟 What a night in group! 🌟

Last night was buzzing with excitement, celebrations, and so many proud moments — our members lost a combined total of 39lbs this week! 🙌

I was handing out awards left, right, and centre —
✨ One Stone awards
✨ Two Club 10 achievements (that’s 10% of their starting body weight gone — bringing incredible health benefits!)
✨ And one truly amazing Four Stone award — that’s four stone gone since April! 👏

Every single award tells a story… and I honestly never get tired of watching people fall back in love with themselves. 💖
From seeing baggy clothes give way to more fitted outfits, to hearing the way they speak about themselves with growing confidence — it’s magical. You can literally see that sparkle returning in their eyes ✨

Last night’s Image Therapy was full of chat about:
🥣 Dusting off slow cookers and soup makers
🍎 Staying in control of those “snack-cidents”
📚 And the excitement of diving into the brand-new recipe books that came with our 12-week Countdown!

Our Buntingford group is most definitely becoming the place to be — full of warmth, laughter, inspiration, and real results. 💪

🌀 Black Hole weigh day vibes 🌀

Because I’m human too ❤️

Anyone else have that post-weigh-in “I deserve a treat” moment? 🙈
I’d planned Toby Carvery before group (feeling all organised and sensible)… only to find the kitchen was closed 😩
By the time I got home, fed the children, I was starving and 100% ready to hit the takeaway after group.

But halfway there, I thought about my Christmas wish and next week’s mini target… and turned the car round 😅
Ended up making golden rice with veggies, chicken tikka (1 syn total) and some leftover Slimming World mushroom macaroni — and honestly, it was lush! 😋

We all have the strength to decide something better for ourselves 💪
For me, it was thinking about the bigger goal — my Christmas wish and the mini target I want to hit to get there 🎄✨

🌿 Navigating Life 🌿
“We don’t just eat because we’re hungry — we eat because we feel.”

This weekend I turned 45 — and honestly, it’s felt pretty bittersweet.
I’m maturing in my life… while my mum is coming to the end of hers. ❤️

We all have ups and downs, don’t we?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the years is how much emotion fuels my eating patterns.

We eat and drink when we’re happy — when we’re celebrating, connecting and being merry with friends.
We eat and drink when we’re sad — trying to comfort ourselves, to numb the pain, or to lift those endorphins and feel happy again.

And it’s okay to feel both of those things.
Life isn’t meant to be one emotion.
But what I’ve realised is — it isn’t fair on ourselves when we use food and drink to carry our emotions for us.

Through my Slimming World journey, I’ve learned the psychology behind why I eat — the unconscious habits I never even noticed before.
And honestly? I’m so proud of how far I’ve come mentally.

If I wasn’t on this journey, I don’t think I’d have ever had these realisations — about food, feelings, or myself. 💫

✨ Family Feast – Slimming World Style! ✨

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve really set myself a little challenge — to make every single meal 100% Slimming World friendly, with only the tiniest of tweaks so the whole family could enjoy them too.

This weekend felt like the pinnacle of that challenge — the whole family round the table… my eldest daughters, their partners, and the grandkids too ❤️

And this was what I cooked up:
🍄 Mushroom Macaroni – rich, creamy, full of flavour, and completely on plan!
🥭 Mango & Lime Chicken – zingy, fresh, and bursting with colour.

Both went down an absolute storm!

I also made Tyrolean-style sausage— not on my personal meal plan, but they gave everyone else a bit more choice at the table. They had these with rice, and plenty of veg (including the mushroom macaroni!).

The best part? Everyone was happy, everyone was full, and I got to stay completely on plan — without feeling like I was missing out on a thing. 💪

It’s such a brilliant reminder that family meals don’t have to mean separate cooking or slipping off plan. With a few smart swaps and a dash of creativity, you really can enjoy food together — the Slimming World way ❤️
