Before the course begins, Jennie will ask everyone to share any allergies for you and your baby. You will also be asked to carry out a simple patch test using the oils to ensure they are suitable for you both.

"We were so lucky to be a part of Jennie's case studies for baby massage. I had always wanted to do massage with my baby but worried they would be big classes and I would get a little bit lost in the learning, this was not the case at Little Hummingbirds!
The group was personal, Jennie was able to help us if we got a little stuck and gave us alternatives if our baby didn't like a certain technique.
Us mum's also got to have a good chat about life and baby's which I found helpful being a first time mum.
All-in-all, we loved it and have involved it into our bathtime routine which my baby enjoys.

Little Hummingbirds offers baby massage and yoga, and it feels like a natural extension of Jennie’s work at the Hummingbird Beauty and Holistic Salon. The name Little Hummingbirds and the logo are inspired by the salon’s design with a sweet baby hummingbird added, reflecting warmth and care.

I am Jennie from The Hummingbird Salon in Burbage and I am delighted to share that I will soon be offering baby massage classes. These will initially take place at The Hummingbird Salon, with plans to expand to additional venues in the future.

A little about me. I have worked as a nanny for 16 years and as a beauty therapist for 5 years. Still managing to do both roles. Bringing these two areas together felt like a natural step, allowing me to extend my skills and offer something truly special to families.

Baby massage has always been an area of interest to me, which led me to complete training with Blossom & Berry. The course has been both insightful and enjoyable, and it has strengthened my passion for supporting early bonding and wellbeing.

As part of my training, I recently worked with three wonderful babies and their families as case studies. The experience was incredibly rewarding, and the feedback from parents and grandparents was very positive. I thoroughly enjoyed leading these sessions and seeing the benefits first hand.

I look forward to sharing more details about upcoming baby massage courses once dates have been confirmed.

Jennie will be offering a baby massage taster workshop from 11.30am to 12.15pm. This is a lovely opportunity for expectant mums and those with pre-crawling babies to learn gentle techniques that support bonding, relaxation and wellbeing.

There will be time to hear about the new baby massage sessions Jennie will be introducing over the coming months, as well as the chance to try out some simple techniques. You are very welcome to practise with your own baby or use one of Jennie’s demonstration dolls.

We look forward to welcoming you.
