You don’t need to be a smoker to get them 🚭 these fine vertical lines that form around the mouth are totally natural and one of the most common age related concerns I see in clinic.

Bruising can sometimes happen after injectable treatments and it’s completely normal! 💉💜
It all depends on so many little things:
🌸 Your individual response
🌸 Skin thickness & sensitivity
🌸 Tiny blood vessels under the skin
🌸 Medications, supplements, or even hormones at the time

There’s honestly no rhyme or reason sometimes one area can bruise while another doesn’t at all! 🤷🏼‍♀️

When my lovely friend & colleague came over from Leeds this week, we treated her lips 👩🏼‍⚕️💉

Midlife isn’t the end of the story… it’s the plot twist you didn’t see coming. ✨

So many of us are out here battling the rollercoaster of peri/menopause the brain fog, the mood swings, the exhaustion (with a side of rage 😅) while juggling careers, businesses, kids, aging parents, and everything in between.

We’re watching our babies grow into adults, becoming empty nesters, or grieving the babies we never got to have. All while trying to figure out who we are again and what this next chapter looks like. 💭

And yet… despite it all, we still show up.
We still build.

✅ For consistent, reliable defense:
• Choose broad-spectrum SPF 30+
• Apply 2 mg/cm² (about a shot glass for the body)
• Reapply every 2 hours or after swimming/sweating
• Pair with shade, hats, and UPF clothing
• Mineral blockers (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) remain the safest, FDA recognised options

At the end of the day, the best sunscreen is the one YOU use properly and enough of it. 💪☀️

Nicola Broxup is the director and owner of Enchanted Aesthetics, she is an experienced Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience working in the NHS as a Sister, Team Leader and Matron.

She has multiple qualifications in Nursing including Nurse Prescribing and has undertaken specialist training in Medical Aesthetics.

Nicola is passionate about her work and incorporates her medical knowledge and her creative eye to ensure her patient receive the very best natural enhancements. She uses the best quality products to ensure patient safety and in 2019 she opened her clinic in Burnley, Lancashire.
