10 years of injecting… and these are 5 of the biggest lessons aesthetics has taught me 🤍

When I first started, I thought it was all about technique.
Now I know it’s so much more than that.

1️⃣ Safety always comes first:
No trend, no pressure, no amount of money is worth compromising patient safety. Anatomy knowledge, ongoing training, and knowing when to say no will protect your reputation and your patients.

2️⃣ Natural will always win:
Overfilled isn’t timeless. Balanced, subtle, refreshed… that’s the goal. I specialise in natural enhancements because confidence should look effortless, not obvious.

3️⃣ Communication is everything:
Listening properly changes outcomes. Managing expectations, being honest, and building trust matters more than the syringe in your hand.

4️⃣ Not every client is your client:
And that’s okay. Boundaries protect your business and your energy. The right clients value your skill, respect your advice, and trust your judgement.

5️⃣ Growth never stops:
After 10 years, I’m still learning. New techniques. New products. New perspectives. Staying humble and teachable is what keeps you relevant.

I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years and injecting for over 10… but the biggest lesson?

It’s not just about faces.
It’s about confidence, trust, and relationships.

Many of my clients I now know on a personal level, I care and have their best interests at heart.
Most of my work comes from word of mouth. And being a Burnley girl through and through, I’ll always be professional but approachable and completely non judgemental 🤍

Fab day yesterday celebrating my gorgeous friend Sooz surprise 50th birthday 🥳✨

We actually met through doing Tropic Skincare and working in aesthetics and it just shows how business can bring the most unexpected, beautiful friendships into your life 💚

Over the years I’ve made some truly incredible friends through this industry. Women who support you, laugh with you, grow with you and sometimes hold you together when you need it most 🤍

Yesterday was just lovely.
Great food.
The best company.
So much laughter.
And such a special celebration for a woman who deserves it all ✨

It reminded me that whilst we work hard, build businesses and chase goals it’s these moments that really matter 🥂

Fab training day yesterday with Galderma 🙌🏼✨

TEAR TROUGH FILLER 👁️✨One of the MOST underrated treatments in aesthetics.

This is honestly one of the most transformative treatments I offer yet it’s also one of the areas I took the longest to introduce into my clinic.

Even though I’ve been practising in aesthetics for over 10 years, tear trough filler wasn’t something I rushed into offering.

✨ BUSINESS UPDATE ✨

After a lot of deliberation, reflection, and soul searching I’ve decided to make a move 🤍✨

Before COVID, many of you will remember that I took the leap and moved into my own salon. An opportunity came up to rent a shop and it felt like the start of such an exciting new chapter for me and my business 💫🏡

But not long after opening life had other plans.

I’d only been open around eight months when COVID struck 🦠

Like so many in our industry, the salon had to close overnight. I couldn’t work, income stopped, and at the same time I was homeschooling my children 📚👩‍👧‍👧 all whilst navigating what became a very difficult period in my personal life.

Since then, it’s been a rollercoaster 🎢

Divorce 💔
Moving house several times 📦🏡
Rebuilding life and business simultaneously.

Financially, the knock-on effect of COVID, moving, and starting again took its toll and if I’m honest, there have been many days where I’ve simply felt grateful to still be working and to still have my business standing 🙏✨

During this time, my health also took a turn.

I began experiencing gynaecological symptoms which resulted in hospital admissions 🏥 and I was later diagnosed with ovarian cysts.

For a long time, I believed all my symptoms were related to this but it transpired that I was actually going through menopause 🌸

Initially perimenopause and then, within the last 12 months, fully into menopause.

Following surgery, my hormones dropped significantly and I’ve since been taking steps to take responsibility for my health and wellbeing moving forward 🤍✨

Late last year, I also had to move house again 🏡
I had salon renovations planned, but after needing to buy another property post-divorce, those funds understandably had to go into rebuilding my home life first.

Around this time, I was offered the opportunity to rent space elsewhere 💭

For a long time my vision had been to renovate my own premises and rent rooms out but over the last 12 months I’ve realised something important…

That’s not actually what I want anymore.

I’m happiest treating patients 💉✨
Helping you feel confident 💋
Focusing on the treatments I love 🤍

Managing other people, renting rooms, carrying responsibility for others it’s just not aligned with where I am at this stage of my career.

So with that said…

I have found a new space 🤍✨

And I’m honestly so excited for this next chapter 🕊️

This move allows me to create more of a sanctuary feel blending calm, safe, welcoming energy 🕯️ with the clinical, professional environment that has always been my vision 🧬✨
