But sadly, on top of criticising ourselves for mistakes, many of us also attack ourselves for who we are, calling ourselves names or saying that we’re ‘hopeless’.
As well as undermining our mood and self-esteem, this self-criticism can undermine our motivation to lose weight, and make us more likely to seek comfort in food. 👎
