This is how you should check your breasts
(I’m a breast surgeon)

- what to do
- why you need to lift your arms
- why women with large breasts should lie back
- why breast cancers cause dimples
- where your lymph nodes really are

For the full video on my YouTube channel that tells you how to feel if you have breast implants, are pregnant or breast-feeding or have had breast cancer, comment BREAST and I’ll send you the link

No-one can say why a person got breast cancer
We have no right to know other people’s medical information
People choose to share the bits they don’t mind other people knowing

and breast cancer journeys are none of my business

Check your breasts.
That’s it.

Behind the scenes at my photo-shoot with aided by my stylist

I needed some new headshots as my hair isn’t blue anymore and I have new glasses, and I wanted to do some creative shots of my mastectomy scar

I can’t wait to see the final pictures

And if you have ever thought about having a photo-shoot to explore your new body after breast cancer, I can highly recommend Jenny

And if you ever think you need a stylist, Kay really knows her stuff. Instead of trying on everything I own before I leave to give a keynote talk, Kay tells me what to wear and I know I will look great

Who knew you can knit two sleeves at the same time!

I hate knitting sleeves but this is brilliant!

And both will be the same length so no worry about miscounting rows!!!

Hurray! The Cancer Roadmap is now available on Amazon.com in the US and Canada

Last week I flew to NYC to promote it on The Noon Fox 5 with the lovely .peters and I got to meet my US publicist Camile

Promoting books is expensive and it takes a lot of work. All the PR is self-funded. I’m always wary of flooding instagram with promo videos but I’m really proud of this book

And in this growing age of medical misinformation we’re young people are dying because they believe fake cancer cures touted online, it’s time everyone knows what cancer is, what causes it and how it should be treated. And more importantly - how to spot a scam

Let me know if you’ve read it yet?
And if you have and can spare a few minutes, leave a review as well

The last one!
Z is for Zoladex in my A-Z of breast cancer
I had it for several years

There’s a longer video on my YouTube channel explaining how it works.

I’d love to know

- has the series been helpful?
- would you want another?
- did you go and watch the longer videos on my YT channel?
- would you rather I paid for a service that can automatically DM you the links to watch them?

X is for X-Ray of the breast - or mammogram

I’ve got a video coming going into detail about the cancer risk of mammograms

You can find videos on my grid or YouTube of me having a mammogram and a longer video going into more detail about mammograms in general.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the and team behind are back to launch a new campaign this October.

In the UK around 55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and 370 men - that’s one person every 10 minutes. Sadly almost half of British women still do not regularly check their b***s.

2025 is based around 7 new artworks for people to photograph, film and share across social media to try and help raise as much awareness as possible on the importance of this subject.

As part of the new campaign they are releasing t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies, tote bags, mugs and notebooks which are available from today at www.pinkribbonfoundationstore.com with 100% profits supporting those affected by breast cancer.

Let’s together make a powerful statement using art to keep breast cancer awareness at the forefront of public consciousness.
