The Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is still flowering in December here in Suffolk. What a herb! It is fantastic for the digestion and circulation as well as a gentle relaxant for the nervous system. It is also a wonderful herb for women. I have used Yarrow mostly though as a poultice for cuts and wounds and drawing out poisons from stings, along with Plantain. Recently my husband sustained several deep lacerations to his finger courtesy of a saw whilst pruning. I applied a poultice of Yarrow leaves as it is a styptic (stems bleeding) and a vulnerary (wound healer), as it promotes tissue repair. The wound has healed nicely. πΏ
