It is with great sadness that we pass on the news that David Hawkins died earlier this month.
David first worked at Peel and Gudgin in the 1960s. He became a partner in the 1970s running the firm in the 1980s with his wife Sandy. They were joined by Chris Wilbraham in 1994. David and Sandie retired from Peel and Gudgin in early 2008.
Many of you will remember him as a devoted family man with a passion for loud rock music.
As a partner he drew on a wealth of experience in optics and had a great eye for detail, something that was much missed when he retired.

I’m afraid I won’t be able to test your eyes in the second half of June as I will be mostly cycling. If anyone feels moved to support out efforts in aid of Myeloma UK, I can assure you that we will have earned it !
