First UK national for the junior boys this weekend in Devon. Hard course but fair to say not crazy.
Lads had a pretty free role and no team orders.
Such a big field and on open roads makes positioning really hard. We did want young Harper to really ride on the front foot though. The first 10mile was progressively uphill.
We know with this set of kids we are always going to be in the mix if we apply ourselves well. That's pretty much what they did.
Tom caught in the wrong place early on paid the price, but still hit some good numbers.
Roco not at full fitness comes in with the group alongside Charlie Brennan and Cam. All showed at different points of the race and all come away with more confidence and knowledge.
Speaking with Harper he was surprised the break of 6 got away when they did, he had held himself at the front and followed a couple of things for the first 15 mile, but felt like it would be hard to get away, then he said it just kind of happened. That is often the way on British roads when they are not closed. Single lane racing makes it easy for a couple of riders to just let things drift off the front.
After that if most teams have a rider in the move (6 different teams in this one) you often find no one really wants to chase
Taking nothing away from the 6 that got away, they placed themselves well at the right time and had the legs to keep pushing hard at a point when a few started to find it a bit hard.
With his pal Freddie also in the break it was always going to be a committed move.
Harper came over 4th out of 4 riders who stayed away. The result is his best finish in a national race and backs up the progression he made last year.
Next week he joins the U23 squad at his first senior national stage race in the peak district. It will be very interesting to see how he goes.
We had loads of stuff going on with the kids at the velodrome too, but wanted to make a special mention to Libby as she podiums in Glasgow in her first ever national youth B event. It's a big step forward for Libby on the track and must of made mum and dad very proud with Freddie also getting on the podium at the junior boys national road race.

Second open win of the year yesterday for the girls. Following Robin Casey winning last week's crit near Brighton, Evie managed to win the university of Bath 10 mile TT.
Probably the best ride of the day came from young Jess who we believe will become a key member of the female team over the next 12 months. Her first ever BC race starting as a cat 4 rider .....a high quality crit race was always going to be interesting, a couple of the top juniors in the country (our very own Melissa Moscrop being one of them), plus some very handy women made up a good size 25 rider field. Tia was using the race as training and further progression ahead of a mountain bike season.
Our main aim was to get Jess points.
It was so pleasing to see both Ruby Blanc and Mel support Jess all race. Making sure no one could get away and then positioned her really well coming into the finish.
In riding we know that helping up and coming teammates only helps the team. Then when we come to big races....the team is stronger and your best riders have better support. Ruby gets this and so does Mel. Tia and Jess both benefited from having experienced riders around them.
Job was done and operation get Jess into Capenwray moved a step closer.
Abby kicked off her year in Lancaster taking 2nd place in the crit and then racing the men's 3/4 for training.
Ruby, Mel and Tia all did the men's race with performance director Joe, u23 DS Josh and junior rider Davey Allanson who is on his way back from illnesses. Fair to say they raced very well finishing in the top half of the field. (60 started).
Davey won the first prime and Josh the 2nd. Strongest at the end was Davey for a decent 4th place in a high quality 3/4.
Jess backed up her race by also doing the cat 4 mens, coming home with what was left of the the main group. Davey did the same in the NAT B getting another solid 90min racing into his legs.
Today further work for the girls as 3 go training on the 2 peaks course ahead of next week and Jess / Amelie go hunting for points in York.

12 months ago today we said goodbye to our champion Aidan. Spent all day deciding what picture to use and what to say.
Picked this one because it displays what Aidan often did.

He gave his all, often that still came up short like it does for so many of us. But the key to the man is how you get back up and go again. Resilient to the core he was.

Aidan understood this and had an ability to give others that same resolve. Many of us became better people for the time he spent with us.

Taken way too soon, where would he be right now we often wonder.

Take care in the sky little fella. Notes added to training peaks.

With race season just around the corner it was full gas last night, really squeezed it all out. Lots of riders at lots of different levels, but within their own groups some very very good riding.
Weekend we see the girls Crit racing in men's and women's races in Lancaster and Darley Moor.
Junior boys in Devon at the first round of the national series (on what looks like a really tough course)
U23 boys head to NAT B and regional A races at Evesham for:
Luke
Ted
Hew
Jago
Liam
(DS Josh if they let him in)
Jack wadley for:
Cai
Jake
Then the kids go racing track at Newport and Glasgow
Fresh from 3 wins between them at track league Monday they go with confidence. They just have to work out how you stop the Tommy Bass machine. Tommy was out in Majorca with us and ......well the boy is in a very good place.

Young Felix racing in Belgium last Sunday took a brilliant 4th out of a field of 90 riders! It's not his first time accros the water, over the last two years Felix has been gaining experience and working hard on his training, now coached by junior mentor Tristan Pilling he is really starting to get himself into positions where he can use his killer sprint!
Great riding Felix, seems the hills in Majorca are a good place for sprinters to train 😁

A cracking day on the Capenwray course with the full team. Really good to catch up with the wider group and a great chance to test the legs and see what tweaks we need to make before racing starts over the next two weeks.

What a day for the girls. Once again this year our first TT win ..in fact our first win on home soil goes to the ever young Debbie Moss at the Rossendale Road Club Bolton by Bowland TT. She did the same thing last year as a coached rider and I am sure it's just the start of a fantastic year for the girls. Really fitting that our youngest female TT rider, Libby, managed to place second to make it a 1/2. Libby was riding her brand new 360 bike, fitted with ultegra group set and Nepest Nova wheelset.
Some of the other girls took part in the first real top end training ride of the year and basically cleaned out a load of local Strava segments in their new Xendurance Europe kit.
Tomorrow they all go to Capenwray for another hard training session as we look to be ready for racing in two weeks time.
Top work girls and it's great to see.
Ps Freddie, awesome ride to win the open TT by a big margin! See you tomorrow.
Big thanks to Ellen for the picture

360 is not just about senior or junior riding, we do a lot of work for grass routes that really helps kids experience the bike in the very best way. Isla got the chance to ride with the full team in Majorca last week and loved it.

Recently, Isla in Year 7, travelled to Majorca for a week long cycle training camp with her cycling club 360Cycling.

This was a fantastic opportunity for her to experience some long rides with big hills climb. You can see Isla here on the way to the top of the famous "Sa Calobra" climb - a superb achievement conquering this! 👏🏻 🚴

Well 40+ riders was always going to make for an eventful trip. Some outstanding riding from the junior boys race team JRT (Fred whitton they are going to do you very proud). The professionalism shown by them is already making us look to increase investment for U23 riders next year. Davey made massive steps forward in his rehabilitation, Charlie Brennan is now really starting to bring together all the parts of his winter training (Tristan you have done a great job). Harper improving his off the bike work, looking super switched on and professional. Cameron the youngest of the bunch showing he can finish things off if the team support him. Roco showing great professionalism on and off the bike, he has earned a lot of respect from his team. The group is diverse but that really works when they back each other.
The youth A riders all progressing, the star youth B set up once again just did what they do, professional on the bike, organised and always riding together.
In years to come the support in drills and endurance riding will really set them up to be the very best they can be. The thing that really impressed this year was how they made the most of the recovery time. They all had key one to one meetings and simply demanded feedback and instruction so they could get the most out.
Management has also found out a lot over the camp that should help us develop further over 2026 in terms of structure.
Massive thanks to the support riders and drivers, you know who you are, it's fair to say this year the support really was needed and went above and beyond to ensure every rider had the support they needed on and off the road.
Will end with a get well soon to Xav and James hopefully both back on a bike very soon.
