Meet new boy Onyx.. Onyx's one true love is primula 🧀
Onyx has started Hydrotherapy with me due to having an artroscopy on both his elbows for Osteochondritis Dissecans or (ocd) this is a developmental condition in young rapidly growing dogs and is very painful and causes lameness and joint swelling. It's caused by a piece of cartilage and the underlying bone separating from the joint surface.
Hydrotherapy is helping Onyx with his (ocd) because the water buyoancy reduces weightbearing stress on the joints. It allows us to build up muscle and improve his Range of movement without the stress on the joints.

Not posted much Hydro last few days been so busy I've had no time to film any content.
So thought I'd share the cutest picture of Cecil and his best pal Pus Pus, curled up in front of the fire. Love autumn nights infront of the fire, cosy vibes in our house.

When your working from home, catching up on notes and vet reports, whilst also on a diet... It's always easier when you have a little mate, who gives you his full support. Thank god for Cecil. with your dog.

Beautiful Bella.... Bella is 2 years old and was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when she was 1. The veterinarians initially mentioned surgery, but her owners decided to try conservative therapies first. I have been seeing Bella for 12 months now and this girl is doing wonderfully. We have managed to prevent surgery and through regular sessions she is thriving.
I think its so important to always explore every avenue, before making a definitive decision. Always look at your conservative therapies, your hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropractor, laser therapy, acupuncture, self selection. So many options. I work alongside some other wonderful professionals, I'm very lucky.

Just an insight in to where I have travelled this week. Lots of patients seen and lots of miles covered. The joy of being able to bring the hydrotherapy treadmill straight to your door. Absolutely love my job and feel so lucky to be able to offer this service. 💖🐕🐶

Oh gorgeous Freya such a golden oldie, this girl has lost a bit of strength and muscle in her hind limbs as well as some arthritic changes. Freya has been having hydro to help build the muscle and strength up and help with her arthritis.
She may be 15 but there is no stopping her. After every session she always goes in the house and brings me out a toy😂 she is the sweetest girl.

It's with a heavy heart I have to write the gorgeous Elvis has gone over the rainbow bridge. He was the sweetest boy who had a for zest life. He was my Christmas miracle last year, after he miraculously recovered from a suspected cruciate ligament rupture. He never failed to amaze me. Rest easy now best boy. See you on the other side 🌈💔🐾

So excited for this from next month I will be working alongside the amazing Yaz .pooches running hydrotherapy sessions alongside her clinic.
