Sakoon Mind is a Mental Health and Wellness charity that specializes in the South Asian community but people from all cultures and faiths are more than welcome. Our vision at Sakoon Mind is to help and educate people about different types of Mental Health. We want to teach that when Mental Health starts to affect you emotionally, psychologically and socially what tools and techniques are available out there that can help you change your day to day living and live a more fulfilling life. We will be bringing in professionals from the mental health and wellness side of things, who will come and teach physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, vocational, financial and environmental to help better their lives.

Here’s a Monday mantra to carry into our busy lives:
Just for today I am patient and calm.
Just for today I am kind and I shower kindness to all around me
Just for today I am grateful for another day.

Simple words techniques can really effect our thoughts our way of working with daily life creating a calmer enviroment in workplace, at home, with our childrenđź’śit lets us take on tasks with Eternal optimism.

Self love is how you speak to yourself.
Self care is how you treat yourself.

Self love says.
I am worthy.
I deserve peace.
I forgive myself.
I am enough as I am.

Self care looks like
Resting without guilt
Setting boundaries
Saying no when you need to
Eating sleeping moving your body with respect
Taking quiet time to reset your mind

Self love is internal.
Self care is intentional.

You cannot pour from an empty cup.
When your cup is full you give from overflow not exhaustionđź’ś

What Does SakoonMind Mean?

Sakoon means peace.
Mind represents clarity awareness and healing.
SakoonMind = A Peaceful Mind.
But it is more than a name.
It is a journey of recovery.

There was a time when we couldn’t focus.
There was no clarity.
We felt stuck in patterned behaviours that led to trauma overwhelm and poor mental health.
Daily life felt heavy. Coping felt hard.
We had no tools.
So we learned.
We unlearned.
We created new patterns.
We poured into ourselves.
We practised self-care.
We opened up conversations.
We journaled our trauma.
We apologised to ourselves for not resting, for not setting boundaries for not choosing “me time.”
We created calmer environments.
And slowly… we found sakoon — peace within our own minds.
With peace came clarity.
With clarity came focus.
With focus came strength.

SakoonMind now shares lived recovery tools and techniques for anyone who feels stuck where we once were.

Today we pause.
We soften.
We make space for conversation.

Talking doesn’t need fixing advice or answers.
Sometimes it’s just being heard.
Sometimes it’s saying “I’m not okay” and feeling safe enough to say it out loud.
A few gentle words can lighten a heavy heart.
Listening with kindness can remind someone they are not alone.
Today and every day let’s keep the conversation open.
