The Providence Night-Time Brace has the potential to be an effective treatment method in the management of scoliosis.
Whether this be in small, lower risk curves, or if full time brace wear is not a realistic prescription. A night-time specific designed brace has the potential to achieve greater in brace correction worn laying down, using the changes to a persons posture and positioning when gravity is removed.
Although full time bracing would typically be preferred in larger curves with a greater risk of progression, significant in brace correction can still be achieved using a Providence Night-Time Brace, influencing the alignment of the spine and how the bony structures grow when the peak growth hormone is released, while children sleep.
Here is an example of a curve which was prescribed full time bracing, but was unable to comply with the requirements of day use, and so it was opted to use a night-time brace, to achieve the best in brace correction possible, for the time the brace is worn.
