A few residents enjoyed a trip to the local shops to get some of their favourite treats 🍬🍫🍭

Some got their gardening tools out to start our "garden project"

And finished off with birthday celebration for our lovely Edna-may 🥳🎂🎈

What a fun packed day Abermill have had 🥰

From keeping our mind, body and souls going with some light chair exercises followed by an early visit from the Easter bunny 🐰 and Alice in Wonderland who brought a furry friend 🐶 along.

Not forgetting the little treats they brought us 🍫🥚🐣🐥🐇

Who doesn't love some chocolate eggs tucked away in hand made bunny's 🧡🤍🧡

At Abermill we have the lovely jack singing Elvis, where we were able to show off our groovy moves 💃🕺🎤🎶🎙️

Enjoyed the beautiful Bev's birthday celebration with a birthday cake made by our amazing kitchen staff 🥳🎂🎈
and Babs enjoyed her favourite take away "Chinese" 🥡

We've been a little quiet but couldn't wait to share these pictures from our little visitors today flooding back some memories where they were shared ...
The beautiful Maise rose came and shared some snuggles stories and smiles this morning 🥰

Followed by a visit from our fellow friend Gwen 👩‍❤️‍👩 Gwen brings loads of passion, energy and enthusiasm... She wanted to help get into the Easter spirit so what better way than to share some glitter and sparkle creating some Easter cards 🐰🐣🐰🐣🐰

Today Abermill had the pleasure of welcoming the Ministry Area Choir of Caerphilly and Aber valley. Who came to sing for our residents. Their beautiful voices filled the home with music and joy, creating a wonderful atmosphere for everyone. A huge thank you to the choir for giving their time and bringing such happiness to our day. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Abermill residents have been enjoying the lovely sunshine. We had a wonderful afternoon outdoors with a fun quiz and sing a long filled with laughter and great company.

Today at Abermill our residents have enjoyed a wonderful day full of activities and sunshine. Some of our residents visited Nant y parc school where they had a lovely time making Easter cakes together. It was a lovely intergenerational activity filled with smiles and laughter. Others have been enjoying the beautiful weather, relaxing in the garden and soaking up the sunshine. Later in the day, residents, took part in a calming Tai chi session, enjoying gentle movement. Another lovely day here at Abermill.

Abermill has had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick's Day. Our residents enjoyed a variety of activities including mindful colouring, an Irish themed quiz, and fun word searches. There were lots of smiles and laughter especially when some of our carers attempted a bit of Irish Dancing. Our lovely kitchen team prepared a delicious Irish themed lunch which went down very well, along with a drink of Guinness to mark the occasion.
We also spent time doing one to one activities using the mobile tablet playing games. Alongside the celebrations we had a very special birthday our lovely Avery turned 94 ! shes had many visitors over the days and received lots of cards and enjoyed a gorgeous birthday cake made by our kitchen team
