Our next walk will be on Wednesday 18th March.
We’ll be meeting on the canal at Pontywaun, right by Pontywaun Spiritual Church, 1 High St, Cross Keys, Newport NP11 7FR.

A cracking morning out along the Monmouth & Breconshire Canal from Pontymoile Basin 🌾🚶‍♂️

Huge thanks to Ian Thomas from Gwent Wildlife Trust Trust for leading us through such a lovely stretch of nature 🌳🦆 Plenty of chatting, plenty of laughs, and great company all round.
Wonderful to welcome Julie on her first walk with us 🌼 and brilliant to see Kim and Martin back again 🌟

We rounded things off with a well‑earned cuppa ☕

📍 Location: Castell Coch Car Park Free parking

We'll head down from Castell Coch and join the Taff trail towards Radyr Weir, following the river, and then head back along the canal. Roughly 7.5km.

Car park doesn't open until 9.30 i believe.

🌿 Dicky Tickers Walk – Wednesday 11th March 🌿

Join us for our next wellbeing walk at Pontymoile Basin for a peaceful stroll along the canal. This session will be led by Ian Thomas from Gwent Wildlife Trust, who’ll be sharing his knowledge of the local wildlife and surroundings as we walk.

📢Visitors to Parc Cwm Darran are reminded that there is currently minor disruption at the Southern Entrance and Fisherman’s Car Park due to ongoing works.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of March, when the waterfall area will reopen to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

☀️ A Sunny Stroll at Sirhowy!

​We missed a few of our regulars this morning at Sirhowy Valley Country Park, but the small-but-mighty crew who made it had a fantastic time!

​The "rare" Welsh sunshine actually decided to make an appearance, making for a cracking walk. We were so busy catching up and enjoying the fresh air that we completely forgot to snap many photos—sign of a good morning.
