Covid and Flu Vaccines

Please do not phone the practice regarding appointments for your vaccines. The practice are not doing these vaccines it is the immunisation team from Forth a valley.

Our lines are being tied up with people repeatedly calling regarding their appts. Please phone the number on your letter. We have no information regarding appointments and cannot assist with enquiries.

NHS Forth Valley GP practices are all closed on the afternoon of Wednesday 20th of September.

If you require medical attention between 1pm and 6pm on that day please call 01324 566610 and your call will be triaged by the FV duty team.

We will open again as normal on Thursday 21st of September.

Please do not call the Practice regarding your covid and/or flu vaccinations. Practice staff are not running the clinics this year and cannot book, cancel or advise re appointments. We are being inundated with queries. Please contact the Immunisation Helpline number on your letter when you receive it.

Covid and Flu vaccines

Unfortunately we are not delivering the covid and flu vaccines this year. This was a national decision to centralise vaccination services.

Please do not call the practice as we have no information regarding eligibility or appointments. Please call the 0800 030 8013.

The appts are being scheduled for the Healrh Centre building but being delivered by a separate team.

Public Holiday & Covid Outbreak

Just a reminder we are closed today in line with Forth Valley GP Public Holidays.

Unfortunately we have a significant outbreak of covid within the admin and nursing team at the Practice. We will therefore have to cancel a lot of nursing appointments this week and be running with a much reduced staffing level.

We have unaffected staff going into the practice today to reschedule appointments.

We would ask for your understanding at this time and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We will work hard to continue to provide a service this week but please be mindful that we are working with reduced staffing levels.

In line with NHS FV allocated General Practice holidays the Practice will be closed on Monday 4th of September 2023.

It is completely unacceptable for patients or family members of patients to abuse our reception staff.

Yet again today we have had a member of our admin team reduced to tears due to verbal abuse and we will not tolerate this. We will request that Practitoner Services remove any patients from our list who continue to behave in this way.

These are the same staff that worked all through the pandemic to provide a service and vaccinations locally, often in their spare time and at weekends. Please remember they are doing their very best in very difficult times.

Oh what a start to a Wednesday.

Our phone lines are down. We have reported it and the telecom engineers are working remotely to fix the problem.

We hope to be back up and running soon. In the meantime thank you for your patience.

Good morning

We are very busy at the moment and our routine appointments for a GP are approximately 11 days ahead. This is longer than normal for us but still well below the national average.

Whilst we understand this may not be the timeframe our patients are used to please remember that the admin team are working very hard to ensure our patients get seen by the appropriate clinician in a timely manner.

Please do not be rude to our staff. Unfortunately the occurance of abuse towards our staff is on the rise again. We have a zero tolerance policy to any form of abuse of the GPs or staff.

Please remember how hard they are working in very trying times. The shortages in the NHS affect Callander too and we are doing our very best.

Just a reminder that for the next 3 days we will be unable to make appointments, issue routine prescriptions etc. We will only be able to deal with clinically urgent matters.

We hope that the new server will be installed with no problems and we may be back up and running sooner, in which case we will open up the routine appointment booking.

Should you require any routine medication during this time you will need to ask the Pharmacy for an emergency supply of your medication.
