Additional players sought for next season's Under 14 Blue team

Royal Wootton Bassett Town are seeking additional players for next season's Under 14 Blue team.

The team are currently competing towards the top of North Wilts League Division Two and are seeking to strengthen their squad ahead of moving up to play 11-a-side football.

If you have a son or daughter currently in school year eight (entering year nine in September) who is interested in playing football for the club, please contact manager Kelvin Spencer (kspencer86@hotmail.co.uk; 07771 544798).

A shop in Royal Wootton Bassett has been ordered to close after ongoing criminal activity was uncovered by Wiltshire Trading Standards.

Royal Mini Market on High Street has been served with a three‑month closure order after repeated enforcement action linked to the illegal sale of to***co and vapes, including sales to under‑18s.

Joint investigations with Wiltshire Police found large quantities of illegal and non‑compliant to***co and vapes hidden in a concealed compartment on the premises.
